The table remained silent as the Avengers eyed the door which (Y/n) had left through. They didn't say a word, instead, they listened as (Y/n)'s footsteps grew distant. All members sat around the table, excluding Natasha, who stood with a surprised expression on her face. No one had expected anything like this to occur, this wasn't even the purpose of the meeting. Tony's eyes drifted around the room to eye all of his colleagues, Bruce was staring down at the table while Thor sat in his chair, spinning and looking around like a curious puppy.

"I don't think (Y/n) did it," he says aloud. Tony let out an audible sigh as he pinched the bridge of his nose in frustration.

"I know that, this wasn't even the reason for this meeting. (Y/n) didn't do it." Natasha's gaze narrowed, glaring daggers at the Ironman.

"How can we be sure? She was the only one in there and she has the ability to move through objects, how do you know she didn't do it?!" she growled, obviously upset with the chance of her being wrong. Tony met her eyes, not faltering as her harsh gaze lingered on his seated figure.

"There is proof in the security camera footage. It is known that the entire building is monitored every second of the day, but there is an exception with the basement. The footage is recorded but only accessible if needed deliberately." Tony pauses, his dull expression taking effect on the Black widow, forcing her to return to her seat. She slouched in it, not pleased with the results or how anything had turned out. The Avengers remained quiet, changing positions in their chairs occasionally as Tony spoke.

"What exactly did the cameras show?", Steve asks, leaning forward to rest his forearms on the large central table. Tony bit his lip, guilt evident in his expression.

"Over the time (Y/n) has spent with us, she has developed a relationship with Loki. After having many guards go over the footage in the last hour, we've seen how close they've grown."

"That doesn't excuse her from entering the cell of a dangerous criminal," Natasha mutters saltily, refusing to meet the gaze of anyone else sitting around the table. Tony clears his throat, bringing the attention back to himself.

"It was brought to my attention that in the beginning, (Y/n) had no intention of entering Loki's cell. But after some... events, she did so for his wellbeing. The guards informed me of Loki refusing to eat and looking ill when the cameras zoomed in on his face. Even though it was hard to see through the barrier, it was still obvious how unwell he was. After (Y/n) entered his cell, he seemed to eventually return to his normal self, perhaps a better, livelier version. That is the time where their relationship began, from there the footage only really showed their closeness and affections," he explains. Steve hums quietly, his lips forming a line as he looks up to meet Tony's eyes.

"Do you believe that their relationship is real or do you think Loki tried taking advantage of her with the intent of her helping him escape?" he asks, one of his eyebrows raised. Tony clears his throat before continuing to speak.

"I believe that the two harboured mutual feelings. In the most recent footage, it shows Loki managing to escape his cell. After this, he shuts off the barrier and moves (Y/n) from his bed and into her own. He was careful and loving, not surprising at all since that was the closest they would get to a goodbye. He then put the barrier back up and was able to leave through the vault door. From there it is unknown how he got out, my guess is that he disguised himself as one of the guards and left through the front doors." Thor nods his head, looking as if he was agreeing with Tony's words.

"It is true that my brother isn't the kindest of Asgardians but he can be very caring, especially with those he is close with. He was very close with our mother when she was alive, I'm not surprised he has taken a liking to the fairy warrior," he says, regaining his old nickname for the girl. This was actually somewhat helpful to the group, supporting the question of whether Loki loved (Y/n) or whether he was just using her.

"Thank you, Thor. The guards did mention in the message they sent that he was extremely hesitant when leaving the vault and even (Y/n)'s cell. I did think there was some consideration in whether he should take her with him and since he didn't, I can only assume that he doesn't know about the pregnancy," Tony sighed. Now that he saw (Y/n) as a daughter, he couldn't help but feel bad for her but also angry.

He thought that she could've easily found someone else, someone who didn't have to be the god of mischief or a criminal, they just needed to stay with her forever. But he also didn't blame her for getting so close to the emerald-eyed man, Tony had left her alone in the basement and the Asgardian was the only one there. Letting out a long breath, he leans back in his chair and allows his eyes to move to the ceiling.

"What are we going to do about this?" Bruce asks, his eyes drifting to the Ironman, "How are you feeling about it?" Tony scratches his chin, his entire mood seemed to have changed in an instant. He looked sad but also exhausted, Loki escaping and all of this new information was really stressing him out. He also felt upset that (Y/n) hadn't trusted him, her father figure, with any of this. He thought that after everything he had done for her, she would at least come to him with her problems or secrets.

Vision, who was sitting patiently next to Wanda, eyed the raven-haired man as he tried to read his expression. Yet, not being able to fully understand human emotions he couldn't seem to figure it out with pure logic. Poking Wanda's shoulder, he gestured for her to speak her mind, she had looked as if she was thinking hard.

"When looking (Y/n)'s perspective, I can understand why she withheld information," Wanda speaks up.

"You've done so much for her, Tony. You gave her a home, family and friends and even a job in the future. She obviously didn't want to have to choose between you and Loki, so she kept her mouth shut. If she wanted to side with Loki, she would've helped him escape and left with him. But since she cared for both sides, she kept quiet about everything. She probably thought that a relationship with someone like Loki and a pregnancy none the less would be considered a betrayal. She didn't want to lose either of you. Please think rationally about this Tony, she's already lost Loki and now she has a baby on the way. She can't lose you too." Tony could see the pure emotion on the Scarlet witch's face as she begged for (Y/n)'s forgiveness. The two hadn't been close but had occasional conversations and got on well. Tony nodded his head, his eyes drifting around the table once again.

"I never planned on losing (Y/n) and I know I never will, she means too much to me. Although I am really pissed off with how everything has turned out, I have no intention of kicking her out." Sighs of relief filled the room, the others finally being able to breathe after holding their breath in hopes of (Y/n) being able to stay. They were quite fond of her and saw her as the loving, quirky girl she was, rather than the monster that had been made of her by the murder case and constant hate from Natasha in the beginning.

"But there will be some changes around here so you should all be willing to help out if needed," Tony says, standing from his seat while adjusting his tie.

"Now if you'll excuse me, I'll be visiting (Y/n) to tell her the news."

Sorry, if you like Natasha. I've got nothing against her but I just needed someone to really hate on (Y/n) so I chose her. She's OOC, I mean she's always calm and pretty composed but in here she's hot-headed and instantly jumps to conclusions. Sorry if that "ruined" the story for you, soz but I always get comments like that and I'm just taking the piss. Anyway, I hope you enjoyed the chapter. Vote and follow me for more. Thank ya XD
