I woke up to Bugsy licking my face as he spread out by my side.
"Stop ya cutie." I grumbled with a probable morning raspy voice. I felt the bed beside me and Tal was absent, probably went shopping or something.
Looking across the room, the stylish clock that laid upon my wall read 11:34am, or somewhere around that. I got up and stretched, Bugsy getting the idea that I was finally awake.
It had been a week since we had the booger and I have already attached, he was adorable.
He was a little gentleman. He never ran away when I walked him, he was always by Tals side but he liked me too. They were bonded and it made me happy.
I peeled the duvet cover from my bare legs and sat up, quietly noticing I was naked. It wasn't unusual in this apartment, sometimes Tal wore nothing but underwear for hours.
It was pretty great, like one of those movie scenes where we did nothing but chill in bed and talk or watch movies together cuddling with Bugsy.
It was truly a life I have dreamt of having, and I wanted it to last forever.
I slid some panties on and tried to clip a bra on, but it didn't really work. I felt like I was the only girl who had to put her bra on like a t-shirt after clipping it off of me. Weird.
Before I could slip on some more clothes, I heard the door open, and Bugsy's ears perked.
"Tal?" I called and I heard the grocery bags.
"Heyyy." He poked his head into the room and hugged me.
"Hey cutie." I kissed his cheek which was full of stubble.
He hadn't shaved, but I liked him better that way.
"Come and see this." He swept his hand into mind and I followed him closely to the turn into the kitchen, and saw it.
"You got a goldfish." I chuckled, tapping the little bag.
"Yeah! I decided to give him a home, he was $2." He smiled and I began to smile widely.
I had a fish when I was 12 named Josey, but she sadly passed away. She was with me for 3 years, she was two breeds mixed and would try and hop out of the tank.
One day, she actually did and I found her on the ground. Poor thing.
I filled up a bowl with water and slipped the oxygenator tube in the input that was designed in the bowl.
I poured the rocks in and let them settle before putting the small decorations Tal got.
"Let's name it Jawhale." Tal laughed and I sighed."We are not naming our new family member Jawhale, what even is that name??" I scoffed and Tal smacked my ass.
"Alright fine, how about Goldie Locks?" Tal said with a persuasive lipbite and I fell into the pitfall of defeat.
"Goldie for short." I agreed and he giggled.
I opened the bag and took the fish net and softly placed Goldie into the bowl before watching the fish slowly swim around.
"Let's put her over here." I put the bowl on the high counter that we never use, and it was away from where Bugsy could hop up to be curious and possibly hurt Goldie.
Bugsy was adventurous, that was for sure. I loved him, though.
"So, I was thinking. How about we go for a dinner? Just you and me." Tal snaked his hands around my slim waist.
"If you want to, but I can just make it here."
Tal looked at me with a blissful kiss on the cheek and nodded.
"I guess I will have to go with the real cook here." He hip bumped me before I snatched him before he could run.
"Not so fast, mister." I whispered before my hands traced up his core and he smiled.
He was almost 5' taller than me, which was a lot. I wished I was taller than him but it's hard when you're pretty short and don't grow past average.
"Someone is handsy." He whispered as his hands went down to my hips.
"I have every right to be, you're mine." I said as he leaned down and placed a soft kiss on my lips, which swept into a session of us eating each other's faces, metaphorically.
It felt so comfortable, a wave of security sweeping over our home.

Before I knew it, I woke up at 5pm next to Tal.
If you guessed that him and I fell asleep at 3pm and I just now woke up, you guessed right. I had no regrets.
I softly pulled Bugsy into my arms from Tal's side and the puppy groggily licked my face and laid on me as I put my hands through Tal's hair.
He mumbled something before going back to sleep. He loved when I played with his hair.
I smiled and stared at the ceiling. I really couldn't think about my life otherwise, I couldn't imagine myself where I was without Tal. We had a beautiful family of two pets. Yes, I am including Goldie because she deserves love.
Tal loved me, and I loved him. We supported each other and talked a lot and we are best friends.
It's part of the role, and I am glad I met him.
Truthfully, I never would've met him if it weren't for free time.
