Primrose

❉ ❉❉❉❉❉

The boys and I exchanged glances, my hands quivering as Tal took them into his larger hands.

"Hey, Prim!" Michael waved happily, all of them beginning to talk and the silence was overtaken.

I released the air I was forcing myself to keep in, and I gave a fake smile towards Tal's best friend.

"Hey, Michael!" I replied quickly with a small laugh.

We got right into the video, and I smiled at Tal as he tried to make Adi stop turning the camera.

I sat in the background, sure not to show myself.

Tal wasn't sure how the public would handle our relationship, and I was quite nervous myself.

I wasn't offended that he hadn't told people, it was something that we just haven't come to yet and I accepted that.

I would respect Tal's decision and his timing like any good girlfriend would.

"Your channel is shit!" Adi choked with laughter, and Tal dropped the Jenga block he held and whipped around to look at Adi.

"The fuck you just say?" Tal said with a joking anger in his voice.

"You heard me!" Adi said while backing up, Michael gasping for air from laughing so hard on the couch.

Tal laughed and returned to his spot, and I began to laugh as well.

This boy was so goofy.

-

My hand was under Tal's limp hand, his eyelids flickering.

He was probably having a dream.

The light from the tv reflected off of our bodies, the purple fuzzy blanket on my heels and stretching up to my knees.

I was comfortable, Tal's other arm behind me and moving a little.

He breathed in deep, his body shuffling into a new position.

His arm wrapped around my body and pulled me super close, to where his nose was merely touching my eyebrow.

His eyes slowly opened, his mind stirring awake.

"Hey," I said quietly, unsure if he would even reply.

"Hey." He replied in a mumble, his soft and raspy voice making me unsettled.

But in a good way.

"Good nap?" I asked and he nodded, his head lifting up a little to where I could feel his lips graze my forehead.

I felt a little pressure and a small kissing noise erupted into the room.

"I love you," I said and my arms stretched down to his lower back.

He looked up at the TV.

"Cupcake wars, really?" He chuckled and I nodded with a smile.

"The french dude pisses me off." I sighed, quite judgemental of the older french man who would always judge badly with no reason whatsoever except 'texture problems'.

Did Cupcakes have texture?
Who knows.

"Do you want to go get dinner?" Tal asked and I looked up at him, his sea blue eyes trailing down to my arm as he drew a smiley face on it.

"Are you hungry?" I asked, not wanting to go out unless he was genuinely hungry.

"Only if you are." Great, put all of the pressure on your girlfriend.

"A little." I shrugged and he nodded.

"What are you in the mood for?" He asked, his hand still making small circles on my bare shoulder.

"Chinese." I smiled with a goofy expression and adjusted tanktop strap so it wasn't sliding off.

"Okay, we should leave soon so it doesn't close." He said, showing me his phone.

8pm.

Wow, how the time flew by today.

Only 6 days until my surgery.

Until I could possibly die.
