Hei looked briefly at the list and the charts he had put together and cleared his throat as the strategy meeting began.
"Making you fight the class on the first day might be rough so you can propose sparring to up to 5 different people each time we go on PE, and that means that if you can show complete superiority for at least 3 weeks in a row, you can arrange a melee for the next Saturday", Hei began.
Monky nodded.
"I'm confident You're stronger than a group of 25, including my classmates from last year but I'm not sure you can take all 4 groups at once so you're going to need to challenge the other classes in some other way. The kids tried to gauge me with strength and skill- based games but all you in particular need to do to show off is how well you swing from one tree to the next. I don't know anyone else who can do that yet", Hei continued. 'Except for me', he purposefully omitted.
Monky shifted his glance from the diagram that Hei was sketching to Hei himself.
"When we reach the mid of the year mark, you can tell the History teacher and the PE teacher that for the cultural festival, you can try the 100-person challenge, which will pretty much force everyone to take you on, along with the strongest 5th graders", Hei went on.
Monky started peeling a banana without taking his eyes off Hei.
"If-", Hei began and corrected himself,"When you win, you can then issue a challenge to the nearest schools for a representative or representatives. Now, while you train and recover from your battles, I'll try and figure out said schools' fighters to grasp their styles and figure out their weaknesses or at least pointers to keep in mind. You might be stronger but they could have tricks up their sleeves"
Monky said nothing.
"If my calculations are correct, by the beginning of the last trimester, You'll get issued challenges from more distant schools and if you can win, You'll be a legit legend... at least, at 6th grader level....", Hei concluded, and exhaled.
Monky finished his banana. "You seem to have put a lot of thought into this", he said to Hei.
"Huh?", Hei replied, slightly startled. "Well... I mean... fighting is serious business and I don't want you taking unnecessary risks", Hei then added, a bit surprised at himself for taking fighting so seriously.
"One thing, tho... it's not like I want to put you down on your work an' all but... I can't help but think that there's a hole in this whole plan o' yours", Monky said, rubbing his chin thoughtfully as he stared at Hei.
Hei thought about it for a moment and then pounded his palm with an 'I've got it' face. "Allies, right? since this whole challenge system is based on warfare, it's silly to think that you can take on everyone yourself. Don't worry about it, everyone in the class and even the year should be able to join the ranks if it becomes a School Vs. School type of event. I guess I should set up a plan for medical support. We don't want our parents to be worried in case fighting goes too serious, after all, and it's not uncommon to see one or two kids with bandages from club practice", Hei helpfully supplied.
Monky continued to stare at Hei. "Nah, that's not it. But hey, the whole thing about group fighting sounds really smart. When worst comes to worst, I'ma leave you to handle that".
Hei frowned "The other kids aren't gonna follow my directions, Monky..."
Finally, Monky smiled. " Yeah, I guess so... unless I ask them to, right?"
"Right!", Hei replied.
Monky's faced turned slightly melancholic as he thought deeply about something. "Welp. I'll figure it out when the time comes around", Monky finished, managing to sound determined.
