Hei closed his eyes. It was the evening before going back to school and he had put his bag in order, making sure to add a decoy homework for Monky, brushed his teeth and took an evening bath, uncommon in him, and then went to bed.

So what did he have to say about his life until then?

Girls could be very attractive and fun to hang out with.

Girls were hard to understand if he didn't talk things through.

Girls had very different sets of motivations.

Girls should never be underestimated in a fight.

His head had become full of girls.

Sigh...

He wasn't being himself. He was very probably changing. Grandpa Ishida taught him -or rather, he had learned from watching him - that change was inevitable but that even then, he himself didn't need to change all that much from within.

He wasn't made of stone, however, so he decided that change from within was also necessary...

He shouldn't wouldn't run away from girls anymore.

He would ask for clarifications, if he was confused.

He would continue to train and fight to earn a great reputation as a fighter.

He would learn from every experience.

When he woke up, the morning after, he stretched and went outside for a run around the mountain.

He looked up and saw mist and clouds hugging the top. He sighed. He wanted to become as aloof, strong and unmovable as his family's mountain, the Marui, named thus because in a different language, it meant 'rounded'. He thought of a ball and how it seemed to bounce off any damage... but then he remembered balls could get holes in them and thought instead of a steel ball bearing... He vaguely remembered reading something about them bouncing harder than a rubber ball or such.

He decided to think of himself as a mountain of metal.
