Gilbert POV

"A nightmare wolf?! Are you sure, Waddles?!" Princess Mabel asked as her eyes widen.

A nightmare wolf...they were these huge wolf like creature that are made up of pure evil. They are basically made up of nightmares. With Prince Dipper...he had to deal with nightmares...take them away from the people and take them to the dark forest so they won't bug other people. Most times they stay away from people of the village but sometimes they escape and attack...and Prince Dipper isn't there during the day to stop them...so it had to be Princess Mabel.

Waddles nodded his head rapidly, "yes! It's being more violent than any other that I had seen that came to the village!"

Princess Mabel looked back at me, "I guess you get some excitement in your first day." Then she looked back at Waddles, "Get some more guards and let's hurry. We must protect the villagers."

Then she grabbed my arm and pushed me forward and we all started to rush out. We headed to the stables. We got the horses and saddle them up. It was me, the princess, and four other guards. Of course Waddles was going to come, to be with his princess and to lead were the nightmare wolf was at.

Without wasting another minute, we raced out on our horses to the village.

I have to admit, my heart was racing. This was my first day on the job and we were already going into a fight and this fight is with a nightmare wolf. They were mean and hard to stop because they are so powerful and aggressive. That was my first job...on my first day. I knew being a guard for a royal wasn't going to be easy but i didn't think it would be like this on the first day...I guess the princess has that much faith in me...let's just hope my father's name didn't cost me my life.

We rushed into the village, to the sounds of screaming and chaos. My eyes widen when I saw that there was more than one nightmare wolf. There was at least two that i saw! One was attacking the butcher shop, eating the raw and cooked meat that was there. Then one was chasing down some people down the street.

The rest of the guard was going after the one in the butcher shop. I didn't think they saw the one chasing after a couple young kids. I looked back at them, "what about the other one!?" i called out but they were talking to each other in how to take down the one in the butcher shop.

"Joe, you go to the right. Mark, you go to the left. We have to get it out of the house." Princess Mabel ordered.

I then looked back at the children, i couldn't just leave the children in their doom of the nightmare wolf. So I turned away from Princess Mabel and the other guards and charge my horse towards the other nightmare wolf.

Princess Mabel looked back, "Gilbert!"

I ignore her and headed to the other nightmare wolf, since I assumed she didn't know about the other wolf, just the one in the butcher shop. So i hurried over to save the children. I kicked the horse on the sides to make it go faster.

The children were screaming as the wolf gained on them, snapping its jaws at the ankles of the children.

"Hey! Leave them alone!" I shouted as I came charging at them.

The wolf heard my shout and instantly turned around growling with it red glowing eyes. My horse got scared and it stopped, slamming its hooves done to the ground and then bucked me off of the saddle. I cried out as I flew in the air and fell on the ground. My horse then took off running in the opposite direction.

I groaned as I struggle to get myself up. When I got to my hands and knees, I froze when I felt the hot breath running down my neck and the sounds of a fecious growl. I felt myself trembling as I slowly raised my head. To confirm my horror, it was the wolf right in front of me and in my face. Looking into the cold red eyes of the beast, I could see my reflection in a bottomless pit of nightmares.
