Anjali had been looking around for Arnav and Khushi since a while now. It turned out to be harder than she imagined to get both of them at a place together. They were stoned and they were roaming freely in between crowds of people playing Holi. And they had consumed more Bhaang later on. So they were worse than children. The one escaped as soon she found the other. It was as if they were playing games with her.
She finally spotted Khushi dancing with both the families. And to her luck she found him standing not far away from her.
Finally.
She reached him as soon as she could with her limping leg.
Anjali - Chote.
He looked at her innocently, like a child in confusion. Then he again averted his eyes towards her, the girl he loved.
She followed his view and smiled with excitement written all over her face.
Anjali - What do you think of Khushiji?
Arnav - Ha?
He glanced her, perplexed at that minute. She signalled at Khushi with her eyes. As soon he looked at her, a smile adorned his face.
Arnav - She's beautiful. Thodi pagal hai, par cute hai. (A little bit mad but cute)
Anjali widened her eyes. She couldn't hold back her elation and smiled in between chuckles. This was what he really thought of Khushi, what he felt about her. And it was satisfying. But this wasn't enough. She needed both of them to talk and hopefully confess about their feelings.
She turned back to him, only to realize he was missing again.
Anjali - Urgh.
She groaned in annoyance but promptly detected him moving towards the dancing bunch of Guptas and Raizadas with an intruder dancing around Khushi.
She couldn't believe her eyes what she saw next. He pushed the man away in jealousy and started dancing himself. All of the other members were too potted to notice the act of jealousy. Everyone except of a certain someone who had been following Khushi around, oblivious to others.
Anjali felt immense satisfaction as she saw the whole of her family dancing carelessly and mostly her brother. He had long forgotten dancing and enjoying. She recalled the last time he danced before sharing the stage with Khushi on Akash's Sangeet. It was on that cruel day of her wedding day. The day they lost their everything at once. Everything except of each other.
She wiped the lone tear that had escaped her eye and smiled gulping. She walked to the rest and gave in to the music. Then followed a time of crazy moves.
After a while Arnav was the first one to stop and leave the dance party. Anjali noticed it on time and pulled Khushi aside.
Anjali - Khushiji, what do you think of Chote?
Khushi frowned keeping a finger between her teeth and then grinned childishly before answering dreamily.
Khushi - He's Laad Governor. Rude and arrogant. But he's very handsome, and caring.
Anjali - Perfect. Don't you think you should tell Laad Governor what's in your heart?
And again the poor soul was baffled. She scratched her head.
Khushi - Should I?
Anjali - Yes. You totally should. See, there he goes. Go and tell your Laad Governor everything that's in your heart.
She literally put her thoughts into her mind and almost pushed her towards the direction he just went to.
Khushi - my Laad Governor...
