(unedited)

alice poured the boiling water into the cup, when the cup was filled to how she preferred it to be; she placed down the kettle.

she put in a tea bag and sat down at the dinner table. she thought over what the doctors had recently told her, in all honesty; she was so scared. she just wanted to cry and have everything go away.

when she saw her phone on the table beside her, she finally agreed on calling him. she grabbed it and unlocked her phone, going to her contacts and clicking his name. she lifted the phone to her ear and took a deep breath as it rang, after a couple of rings calums voice could be heard.

"alice, fuck off." he huffed out, clearly annoyed.

"calum, i need you to meet me at the park, you know the one by my house? melrose park?" her voice was oh so shaky from the nerves. she ran her small hands through her hair in attempt to calm her self. there was a pause from the phone and then she could hear calum let out a sigh.

"when? what time?"

alice looked at the clock on her dinning room wall, 8:43 am, "could you be there at like noon?" alice told calum. calum agreed on the time and they said their goodbyes.

alice sat on a park bench waiting. she thought over and over on how she was going to tell calum. she recited the one sentence over and over again.

"i have cancer" she said under her breath, she picked at the gel nails that she had on.

alice looked down and began to cry. she knew, she knew she was going to die. thats what made her hurt, that is what made her tick. the fact that she knew how she was going to die, made her feel un easy.

"alice?"

calum tapped alice on the shoulder in attempt to call her attention, when she looked up and he saw her make up running down her face; he sat down and wiped his hand on his jeans as if she was a priceless china doll that his mother would scold him for touching with dirty hands. he placed an awkward hand on her knee, trying to calm her.

"oh calum," she wrapped her arms tightly around his neck and pulled him in for a hug, in which calum rejected with his hands by his side. when she noticed the lack of his hands around her waist she awkwardly pulled away and wiped her eyes with the sleeve of her shirt. "cal, i need to-"

calum made an annoyed face and waited for alice to continue, "i need to tell you something, but you need to under stand; its not my fault." calum let out a frustrated sigh and ran a hand through his hair, tugging at the ends and yelled. the yell made everyone stare and the couple, the only this that calum did was smile and wave at a girl.

"fuck alice, you cheater!" calum yelled, but kept it low in a way so only alice could hear him. "you said you loved me! i love you alice, and then you go around and cheat on me?" calum began to yell irrelevant things, rambling.

after a while alice got tired of him yelling at her and she just yelled back, "i have cancer! okay?i fucking have cancer!" calum immediately stopped talking and looked at alice.

his eyes widened then he relaxed, then he began to laugh. alice was token back, she lifted her eyebrows in disbelief. " why are you laughing?" alice said as calum started to grab his stomach from laughing too hard.

"my god alice! your such a fucking lier."

when alice didn't say anything, calum noticed that she actually wasn't lying and he immediately stopped laughing.
