The Acquaintances

Struggle

Camera pans alongside a safe. Gun fire can be heard. As it pans to the other side of the safe, the audience can see an open door in the background, blurred. The camera unblurs and brings the door to the foreground. A man in security clothes is flung into the wall behind the door. This is used for comic relief. A figure in black walks into the room. From off, we hear a voice. (Agent Smith)

SMITH: Step away!

Camera pans up from Eclipse's feet until we reach his head and do a full body shot, and show him facing Smith.

ECLIPSE: I will. If you give me what I came here for.

SMITH: Never!

Smith holds the gun, trembling.

ECLIPSE: Oh, you brave, brave soul. Shoot me. Do it.

Close up of Smith's finger on the trigger. Eclipse smiles.

SMITH: You killed my friends. You killed everyone who works here. I'm going to kill you.

Smith suddenly starts pointing the gun at himself.

SMITH: Wha- What are you doing?

ECLIPSE: Pull the trigger Smith.

The gun is now fully pointed at Smith.

SMITH: You won't get away with this. Your little spells won't work forever. You won't win.

ECLIPSE: I think I already have. All of your little friends, are dead.

SMITH: There will always be people to stop you.

Music (Revisiting Snoke from The Last Jedi) fades in. Eclipse walks towards Smith and begins to whisper.

ECLIPSE: If anyone tries to stand to me, I'll kill them. I'll kill them dead. Like you.

The gun fires. Smith falls to the ground. (Don't show any violence.

Eclipse walks over the dead body of Smith, and makes his way to the vault. He opens it, and light streams onto his face. He grabs the object.

ACT 1-SCENE 2:

The camera moves past Eclipse (The Supremacy from The Last Jedi plays) and focuses on a person exiting the room, sneaking out. (Agent Banks) Banks runs as fast as he can. Camera cuts back to Eclipse, who hear footsteps. He turns and runs after Banks. Banks runs fast, out of the building. He pulls out his phone. No reception. He keeps running down the street. Suddenly, he gets caught off. Henchman 1, Garry has him cornered.

GARRY: Where do you think you're going?

BANKS: To my grandmother's house.

GARRY: Oh, ok. Clear.

Garry lets him past.

Suddenly, henchman 2 stops him.

GENERAL CHASE: Garry, this man is wearing Agent gear. He is clearly trying to escape so that he can contact his friends to get help. Except NO ONE leaves here alive.

BANKS: I don't need to leave alive. But my message does.

Banks punches General Chase across the face. General Chase is sent to the ground. Banks runs off, his phone out, searching for reception. Eclipse is now closing in, sword in hand.

The bars on Banks' screen light up. He has signal.

He calls Agent Jones.

BANKS: Jones, Eclipse has the map. It's time. Assemble the Task Force.

Eclipse is shown behind Banks, raising his sword. He slams Banks over the head with the hilt. And we cut to Agent Jones at the B.F.G (Base for Gifted) headquarters. He puts down the phone and looks at a button that says: Assemble. His face has a look of fear on it. And then he brings down his hand onto the button.

FADE TO BLACK.
