about the pirates
Outside of the clans you may find loners that wander, single rogues that hunt on territories, and even kittypets in their twoleg nests.
But you've never heard of the pirate crew.

what? These cats consider themselves pirates. No, they don't sail the seas as that's impossible. However, they prefer the term instead of raiders or marauders. They tend to steal from other clans right from under their muzzles. Whether it's prey from some fresh kill piles, or herbs straight from a med den, they won't hesitate to take what they need. They prefer to steal over hunting on territory.

why? Every cat has a different story, so every cat has a different reason as to why they're in the crew. However, the crew doesn't accept the perfect cats. They accept the ones who have nothing, the ones who want to make a name for themselves, and ones who have no place to call home.

where? The pirates have a main base that's hidden and pretty far away from the clans. there's no specific name for their rugged home, but they often refer to it as the "crew camp". Often times when traveling to a raid, cats will have to camp out along the way, as it could be a long journey since they are far from the other clans. The main base is located in a small cave near the coast, and there is an ocean that the pirates have access to. However, the cats only use the ocean for ceremonies and such, and don't usually hunt fish.

Every pirate must follow the code.
(1) Never leave a crew member behind.
(2) Never steal for yourself. You steal for the crew.
(3) You are not binded to the crew. You are allowed to leave once you feel like you have fulfilled what you needed. You will not be forgotten.
(4) The captain's word goes. Always.
(5) Never reveal the main base's location to anyone except when recruiting crew members.
(6) Never harm elders, kits, mothers, or past crew members while on a raid.
(7) If you betray the crew you will be marooned.

the ranks

captain
There's only one captain, and he / she is known as the leader of the crew. They send out raid parties, lead battles and perform ceremonies. Highly respected.

quartermaster
The right hand to the captain. Usually are close with the captain and will lead raids if the captain cannot. Also keeps track of the food and herb stock to see if another raid needs to be sent out. Will be the next captain when the current captain dies / retires. Highly respected.
