New Kid

After froyo I walked home. It was a nice day so I didn't feel like asking for a ride. I enjoy being out doors. Feeling the air and looking at the scenery. It always calmed me. When I got home, my mom and sister were both aggressively playing wii sports. I decided to join and let's just say it wasn't pretty.

As I was on my phone that night, i decided to check my Instagram. I never post so I'm not expecting anything. But to my surprise,I had a new follow request from a kid named nick. I scrolled through his profile a little before debating if I wanted to accept it or not. He was super cute! And he looked like he loved being outside just as much as I do. I decided to message him and get to know him. We talked for hours. He was so sweet!

Nick: I'm so nervous for tomorrow
Me: why?
Nick: I'm starting at a new school.
Me: oh cool. What school??
Nick: I can't quit remember the name.
Me: Well wherever it is, I'm sure you'll be fine. Just breathe and maybe smell the flowers. That always helps me calm my nerves.
Nick: I might just have to try it then😂
Me: You just might. Well I should go to bed. Text me tomorrow and lmk how it goes. Night nick😊
Nick: You'll be the first to know. Night cathrine💖

*the next day*

I pulled up to school and everything was normal. Just a casual day at school. Then I saw amber and emily sprinting to me.
"There's a new kid!"
"What?"
"A new kid. We have a new kid"
"I heard you the first ten times I'm just confused. We never get new kids."

We walked to the parking lot to see what was up. I was shocked at what my eyes had seen. It was...
"Nick?"
He looked at me with the biggest smile on his face.
"CATHRINE!"
He ran up and gave me the fattest hug. Not gonna lie... I really enjoyed it.
"What are you doing here?"
"I go here now"
"This is your new school??"
"Yea"
I couldn't help but smile. He is literally the cutest and sweetest boy I think I've ever met. I think I really like him and I don't even mind.

*end of school*

Nick met me outside of my last period and pulled me in for a hug as soon as I walked out. I have never loved a hug so much in my life.
"So what do I have planned"? He asked.
Honestly, I didn't know.
"Umm.... idk, we could go to my place and watch a movie"
"Sounds good" he said with a smile. I couldn't help but smile back. As we were walking out of school, I noticed I was holding his hand.
"Oh sorry, I didn't realize I- ". He just smiled and said "cause you didn't, I grabbed yours"

My heart skipped a beat. People were staring but he didn't care. He actually flaunted me.

"Do you want me to call an Uber?"
"I actually kind of like walking home. Gives me time to enjoy the scenery. But if you want to Uber then we can."
"No no no. I'm fine with walking."

As we walked we talked about EVERYTHING. He told me how he was in a boyband with some guys he'd never met till a couple months ago and how they were planning on moving out to LA if their career really took off. And that he was in a group called the iconic boys when he was younger. He could sing, dance, and had a fucking AMAZING personality. Wow.

"Tell me about yourself. What do you enjoy doing?"
"I actually enjoy singing as well. I'm not very good at it but I've always been passionate about it. I actually wrote a song... but it's not good."
"Omg stop cathrine. Your probably amazing. If your comfortable with it, you should show me your song."

I've never been so open about this to anyone. He's literally the only person on earth beside Stephanie that knows about my passion for singing. Whew he's changing me for the better and I love it.
