I watched Persephone storm off while Cassandra went to use the facilities to relieve herself.

I took a huge gulp of the ambrosia wine and followed Persephone. She was out on the balcony looking down on the Earth; it was nothing more than a spinning orb of blue and white.

"A mortal on Olympus, really?" She didnt even turn to look at me.

"We are to be married at some point, Persephone. Where you shied away from my touch, she welcomes it. Where you mocked my need for love, she will fill the void."

She whirled on me. "No one can love a thing that lives in the da..."

"Bitch shut yo ragedy....Christ how fucking old are yall. Either way, Hades I'm ready to go. Now!"

I turned to find Cassandra, arms folded over her extremely ample chest. She was what mortals called thick as fuck. Compared to Persephone who was very thin and waif like. I wondered how much Cassie had heard.

"Just a minute," I looked to Cassie. I still couldnt believe she'd come all the was here and how she'd gotten pass the wards Zeus himself had placed on Olympus was a mystery. I looked to Persephone. "I do hope that you will come to the wedding."

I grabbed Cassie's hand and I shifted is to the Underworld. For the first time in maybe a million years, I felt....something.
