a week passed, and jaemin hadn't been feeling too well. it was getting harder and harder to breathe with every coming day. when he inhaled, his lungs hurt. almost as if there wasn't enough room for air to enter and something was pressing up against his insides. jaemin decided it was allergies. allergies that made it hard to breathe and kept him up at night.

as usual, jeno came over in the morning before school.

he knocked three times.

jaemin was exhausted. he hadn't gotten enough sleep, and he really didn't want to get up. nevertheless he rolled out of bed, casually swiping away a random yellow petal on his pillow as he did so.

after seven minutes of freshening up and changing, he opened the door and gave jeno a weak smile. "good morning, jeno."

jeno was on his phone, typing. "morning. you ready to go?"

"yes."

jeno turned around and began down the walkway.

jaemin pressed his lips into a thin line, pausing before cautiously starting after him. "i love you, lee jeno."

oddly enough, jeno didn't seem to hear.
