class was out, and jaemin spotted jeno next to the fountain in the courtyard. he was texting away on his phone.
"jeno-yah!" jaemin called, skipping over to his lover's side.
jeno didn't notice. he didn't look up. not even as jaemin sat down at his side.
jaemin frowned, but he knew just what to do.
he leaned in to kiss jeno on the cheek. it was something he always did: he would try to kiss jeno, and jeno would lean away to avoid it, smiling as he did so.
it was their thing. everyone knew they were head-over-heels in love with each other, and jeno would avoid jaemin's kiss as part of the game.
however, he didn't this time.
he let jaemin kiss him, continuing to read a message on his phone screen without looking up.
"oh, hey. how was class, jaemin?" jeno cheerfully asked, once he had finished typing a swift reply and immediately locked his phone.
"it...it was fine," jaemin stared at him, the frown remaining on his face.
jeno didn't think much of it. in fact, he hadn't thought much of jaemin since that morning.
there was someone else on his mind.
