Chapter Five

Annabeth's POV

"Well, You know how Percy and I are partners for that project?" I ask Thalia. She nods so fast I'm afraid her head will fall off.

"Well, we-no I was working, he did nothing but play with my hair, and when it was time for me to go, he just got up and kissed me. Then, he started apologizing, so to shut him up, I kissed him back,"

"So, do you think you love him?" Thalia asks.

"What? No, gods no. I just met him! We've only known each other for what? Three days?"

"Oh. Well I just thought-" But whatever Thalia thought I never got to know because Percy and his annoying friends joined us.

"I can't believe Percy got a girl before me! So are you saying all I have to do is kiss Maria on our next project working date and she will like me? I mean, look at all this hotness!" I think his name's Leo said.

"Well, Maria has to actually like you first, but I don't think that will ever happen," I tell him.

"So your saying you had a crush on Percy?" He wiggles his eyebrows at me.

"What?-No-I-yes. I mean, uh I guess," Yep. Another intelligent answer from Annabeth. By the time I finished saying that, Percy was looking shocked, but tomato red, like me, and our so called "friends" were laughing their heads off, drawing attention to our table. And then that thing walked up to us. No, walked up to Percy.

"Hey Percy," Brianna said, twirling her hair. She then sat on his lap making Percy look very uncomfortable and try to push her off. I tried to grab my dagger, but Thalia shook her head at me.

"Um, hi? Could you please move?" Percy asked the demon. But she just ignored him and kept talking.

"So, you know how my mom's a model, and she wants to meet my boyfriend today at dinner, so, see you at six, okay?"

"Um, sorry Brianna, but I'm not your boyfriend. I'm dating Annabeth, who's way smarter and prettier than you. Probably lighter too, so can you get off? You're killing my legs." Percy responded. I have to admit, that was a pretty good comeback. For Percy's standards though.

"She is no where near pretty! Her hair is obviously dyed, and her eyes are just scary. Plus, she's fatter than me,"

I almost punched her in the face, but Thalia got their first.

"Go away you dumb slut!"

"No way, goth girl!" But I knew Brianna was scared, plus she had a black eye and her nose was bleading.

"Don't talk to my friends like that. Plus, Annabeth's hair is not dyed, and her eyes are pretty. And if she's fat, than what are you? Humongous? Just go away and leave me and my friends alone!" Percy exploded.

"Ugh, fine than!" Brianna said, than walked away, got tripped by Nico, got up, got tripped by Leo, and than finally made it out the door.

"Gods that girl is so annoying!"

"It's okay, calm down Annabeth!"

"Calm down? The worlds biggest slut flirts with my boyfriend and you tell me to calm down?!"

"He's right Annabeth. Don't get mad because of that idiot," Thalia said.

"Okay, fine,"

"Whey do you listen to Thalia but not me?" Percy asks with a fake pouty face.

"I met her nine years ago and you like what, yesterday? Does it make sense now, seaweed brain?"

"Ugh fine." With that he dramatically get up and struts out the door perfectly mimicking Brianna. We all laugh and follow him to class.
