Chapter Thirteen

BROOKLYN'S POV:

Me and Tyler had plans today, but when I called, he sounded sick. So I went over to his house.

I opened the front door using the key under the mat, and when I walked inside, I find to see Tyler laying on the couch, coughing like crazy.

"Ew gross you're sick!" I joked.

"Ha ha very funny, you got me sick," he said coughing.

"Well, I wanted to go to the fair with you, but now you're sick!" I said pouting.

"Aw babe, well I heard everyone had plans today also."

Then Kalin came downstairs wiping his wet hair with his towel.

"Hey maybe, Kalin can take you!" he said.

What?!

"Take you where? I'm not doing anything today anyways, and I don't wanna hear Tyler's coughing all day, it got annoying all last night." Kalin laughed. I guess he slept over.

"Ummm..." I didn't know what to say.

"Hey can you go with her to the fair? She really wanted to go, but I heard it's the last day today." Tyler asked.

"Sure, lemme just get my shoes." Kalin said.

"It's okay babe, just go have fun, I'll be fine. And it's a great way for you guys to just make up already." Tyler insisted.

"Alright then.." I really loved fairs, and I really wanted to go, so I just said okay.

We left at about 6pm, and since it was about an hour drive, we got to the fair at 7pm. We rode on rides for about an hour or so, and I admit, it was really fun. I was really trying to not argue with him, because I wanted this to be a really good day. Before we left, we went on last one ride, the ferris wheel. I hated heights and I surely didn't wanna go on a ferris wheel, but he forced me to go and he wouldn't shut up. Maybe it wouldn't be too bad.

The ride started and it went around about twice until all of a sudden, it's lights shut off, and it stopped. We happened to be at the very top. This is wonderful.

"Woah, what's going on?" I said, terrified. I looked down and my lord, it was really up high.

"Sorry you guys, there seems to be something wrong, just hang in tight, and we'll get it fixed right away." the worker said.

"Oh no." I said, scared.

"Hey are you okay? You're scared of heights huh?" Kalin said as he saw me.

"No I'm fine." I lied.

"Yeah right," he said as he sat next to me.

It was really quiet, until Kalin spoke up.

"Um hey," he said while scratching the back of his neck," umm, look, I'm really sorry, you know that right? About all those things I said, and the kiss...I really want us to be friends, no awkwardness. It was really fun today you know?"

I thought about it. At least he said he wanted to be friends, and yeah it was fun today.

"Okay, fine." I smiled.

His face lit up, and the ride started to move again, and he sat back down in front of me.

The ride starts moving and we get off, but as I got off, I almost trip and Kalin catches me before I fall. I give him a weird look. "Just friends remember?" he smiled.

"Just friends...."
