Later that day, YuYan was called into her father's office.

"Good evening sweetheart," her father greeted her with his eyes on some papers he was holding.

"Good evening dad," she greeted him shortly.

"I heard that your relationship with Fan ChengCheng is getting better and better by day," his attention was still directed on the paperwork he was doing.

"Yes dad," YuYan replied. Did he want to see me just to talk about that? YuYan wondered as she looked at her busy father.

"I'm very happy to hear that!" He put down his papers and looked at his daughter. "To be completely honest, I thought you two wouldn't work out and you'd act like a child to ruin the arrangement. But I'm very pleased to see you act like a mature girl, really, I'm very pleased," he smiled.

"We'll be having dinner with the Fan family tonight, okay? Please dress nicely," he dismissed his daughter from his office.

YuYan left his office quietly, closing the door behind her. Suddenly, the idea of seeing ChengCheng's family again made her nervous.

I need to change the first impression they had on me, she thought as she strode to her room.

YuYan heard a light ring coming from her phone as she was busy looking through her closet. She looked at her phone's screen and saw a text message from ChengCheng. YuYan eagerly grabbed her phone and swiped to read the message.

ChengCheng: you heard about tonight right?

YuYan: yep

ChengCheng: you're coming right?

YuYan: obviously

ChengCheng: phew I thought you wouldn't want to ^-^'

YuYan: Why wouldn't I go?

ChengCheng: well, if I asked you that one week ago you would have all the answers.

YuYan: :)

YuYan: I want to go

YuYan: you'll be there so I'll go

ChengCheng: a w w w

ChengCheng: I'm-

ChengCheng: who r u and what did u do to YuYan

ChengCheng: bring YuYan back

YuYan: wdym lol

ChengCheng: you changed a lot in a span of seven days

YuYan: yep

YuYan: isn't that good though?

YuYan: I no longer hate your guts

ChengCheng: aha yes

ChengCheng: you love me instead

YuYan: I didn't say that!

ChengCheng: ;)

ChengCheng: anyways

ChengCheng: go prepare for the dinner

YuYan: yea I'll get going

YuYan: see you later~

ChengCheng: bye babe

YuYan threw her phone on her bed and covered her blushing face.

"Why? Why are you being like this all of a sudden?" She slapped herself lightly.

YuYan couldn't deny the excitement she felt as she wore her dress, styled her hair, and did her makeup. It was as if her heart would explode any second as she was driven to the restaurant with her father.

The father-daughter duo entered the restaurant with confidence. This might be the first time YuYan wanted to attend one of her father's dinner meetings.

A man dressed in a black suit led them to their table.

There stood the Fan family to greet them.

Fan BingBing was wearing her regular smile, and next to her stood a couple whom YuYan now recognized as the CEOs of the company. Next to them stood ChengCheng who smiled at YuYan when she approached them.

"You look beautiful," ChengCheng smirked as he landed quick kiss on her cheek.

"Don't do that!" YuYan whisper-yelled as she covered her blushing cheeks.

"You look quite good yourself as well," she smiled.

"I always look good," he remarked as he pulled a chair for YuYan. YuYan rolled her eyes at his cockiness as she sat on the seat he held for her. ChengCheng took a seat next to her and soon, all the family sat down.

"YuYan, sweetheart, how are you?" BingBing smiled at the girl.

"I'm doing fine thank you. How about you?" YuYan tried to be as polite and formal as possible.

"Just fine dear, just fine," BingBing replied.

Silence drooped over the table as everyone looked at the menus. Soon, a waiter came to pick up their orders ChengCheng still ordered a four-person dish.

After the waiter left, everyone, except for ChengCheng and YuYan, was engrossed in some discussion about a rising company.

"So," ChengCheng spoke, "you came here just to see me huh?"

"No, I came here to enjoy this fun and interesting business talk," YuYan smiled sarcastically.

ChengCheng ignored her sarcastic remark, "you look really pretty," he tucked a strand of her hair behind her ear.

"Thank you, you said that already," YuYan played with her fingers, trying to ignore her thumping heart.

"Yeah, but I thought I must make it clear," he grinned.

"Oh my god can you stop being so cheesy?"

"Why? Does it make you feel butterflies in your stomach?" He nudged her playfully.

"Yes, and it also makes me want to stab you with this fork," YuYan picked up the mentioned utensil in front of her.

"Okay, okay I'll stop," ChengCheng chuckled. A waitress carrying a tray of appetizers approached their table. She set the foods on the table and left wordlessly.

"Why are some waitresses so rude," YuYan glared at the waitress' distant figure.

"Beats me," ChengCheng picked up a fork and a plate and started putting random appetizers on it.

"There you go, eat," he set the plate in front of YuYan with a smile.

"You know, I'm very capable of putting food for myself," YuYan commented.

"Tsk, just eat," ChengCheng tutted as he placed another full plate in front of him, "I don't want you to starve yourself like last time."

"Don't worry, I won't," YuYan chuckled as she dug in her food.
