YuYan sat home alone after school. Her father didn't come back from work yet, so she was left with the maids in the house.

She lounged lazily on a couch in the living room, thinking of something to do.

Is ChengCheng free? A thought passed her mind and she decided to check for herself.

YuYan picked up her phone and sent a message to him. He didn't reply, so being her mischievous self, YuYan spammed him with messages.

YuYan: hello

YuYan: ChengCheng

YuYan: Cheng!Cheng!

YuYan: are you free right now?

YuYan: I guess not bcs ur not on ur phone

YuYan: I'm bored

YuYan: let's go out do something if u see this

YuYan: actually

YuYan: I'm craving cinnamon rolls atm

YuYan: can we go get cinnamon rolls?

YuYan: you know something?

YuYan: I'm going to say this now that ur not replying

YuYan: I think...

YuYan: no cross that, I realized

YuYan: I realized that although I was very upset in the beginning, I'm really happy I got to meet you. This is random, but you know what? I really like you.

YuYan frowned when she saw the small notice under her message.

Seriously? She groaned as she clicked resend. The message still refused to send, it's probably an issue with the internet, YuYan thought as she shut off her phone.

She heard the front door open and close gently. She also heard her father's voice and... BingBing's?

What is she doing here?

YuYan scurried off the couch to greet them. "Good evening dad," YuYan greeted her father as he removed his shoes and just as she predicted, Fan BingBing was with him.

"Hello sweetheart," he smiled weakly, "I need to talk to you for a bit okay? Meet me in my office," he said and YuYan nodded in response.

BingBing remained silent but she threw one of her signature smiles at her as she followed YuYan's father to his office.

What's going on? YuYan looked at their distant figures weirdly. In a few minutes, YuYan made her way to her father's office.

When she entered the office, she saw BingBing seated on a chair in front of the desk YuYan's father stood behind.

YuYan stepped to the middle of the room and stood there, waiting for whatever her father is going to say.

"YuYan dear, how are you?" He asked.

"I'm good dad, you?"

"I'm fine thank you," he smiled gently.

"YuYan... I have something very important to tell you," he took a deep breath, "there's a change in plans."

"What do you mean?" YuYan asked hesitantly.

"Remember when we made an agreement with the Fan family?"

"You mean the arranged marriage?" YuYan guessed, trying to ignore the endless thoughts streaming in her mind.

"Yes," her father nodded, "there's no need for it anymore."

"I'm sorry, what?" YuYan didn't want to believe what her father just said.

"We decided that your marriage is unnecessary because...," he looked at BingBing for help, but she just smiled at him encouragingly.

YuYan didn't need any more explanations, the diamond ring on BingBing's left hand told everything.

YuYan felt her heart shatter into a million pieces.

"Fan ChengCheng's family decided to pair him up with someone from a company they wish to create bonds with, and you will be finally free of an arrangement you didn't want in the first place," YuYan's father explained sheepishly.

YuYan's blood boiled, so now you decide to care about my desires?

"Seriously?!" YuYan sounded very much like Zeren at that point.

"You put me in an arrangement I didn't want and when I finally accepted it you break it?! Have you ever considered my feelings?" YuYan's voice rose up.

"How is this fair?! Dad tell me, how is this fair? You got to do the things you liked, stayed with the people you love and lived your life like you wanted it. But me? I don't get to do the things I want and live my life like I want to, and now that this whole arrangement is broken, someone I love is gone away as well! Do I look like a puppet to you?!" YuYan yelled, channeling all her anger into her words.

"I'm done with this! I'm done with you controlling my life! Look at you, you got to marry mom, and no one was there to stop you, right? Then why are you ruining things for me? Why can't you just let me live like the rest?" YuYan said her last words and stomped out of the office.

"It's because we all fought for that freedom, you just don't know that," her father muttered as his daughter's figure got farther and farther away from the office.

"Sweetheart, you're giving her way too much freedom," BingBing commented.

"What do you mean?"

"You must discipline her just like we do with our ChengCheng."
