AS SCARLETT CLOSES HER CAR DOOR, she pulls her purse up on her shoulder. It's a little warm for midday in September, but she isn't complaining. In fact, the warm weather brings back a fun memory of when she, Grae, and Lizzie went to Miami for a girl's weekend, and that they came back to the hotel every night as drunk as ever. At the end of that weekend, Chris had to come pick up the girls and take care of them because they could barely hold a meal.

She presses a button on her keys to lock her car as she crosses the street to Carson's Café, a favorite of Grae's. She walks in and waits about five minutes before she can tell the hostess that she has a reservation for 'Evans'.

"Right this way, please." The hostess leads Scarlett through a maze of waiters and tables. They weave around a few large parties that seem to be work lunches or birthday celebrations. They finally arrive at the table, and Scarlett sits down facing away from the entrance as the hostess places a menu at each seat.

"Olivia will be your waitress, and she will be right with you. Enjoy!"

"Thanks." The hostess rushes back to her station, noticing the large line building up at the entrance.

Scarlett takes out her phone and begins to check her messages:

(3) unread messages from "Girls Only 💋"
(2) missed calls from "MOM"
(1) UNREAD message from "Evans"

Scarlett unlocks her phone and reads the message from Chris.

Evans:
gonna be late, terrible traffic 😒

JoJo:
Okay. I'm already at the table 👍

She waits a few more minutes before he responds.

Evans:
alright, I'll try to hurry 😉

She rolls her eyes at the last text message and puts her phone on the table as a blonde comes up beside her, filling up her empty glass with ice water.

"Good morning. My name is Olivia, but you can call me Liv. I'll be your waitress for today. Can I get you started with any appetizers, salads, or beverages?"

Scarlett opens her menu to the wine section. Never to early, right? She looks for a few seconds before settling on a white wine.

"Good morning Liv. I'll have a Pinot Gris for now. And I do have one more person coming, just so you know. "

Olivia writes down the order and looks back up at Scarlett. "Alrighty, I'll get that right out for you, and I'll come back to take your order." She trots away as she focuses on a t.v. that's located above the bar. The headline is on a new movie that Sebastian is starting in, and it holds her attention as pictures of the production come onto the screen.
