Finding the Lost

Time with Caretaker Part 3

"What?" Everyone seemed surprised and confused at the same time. Cato sighs. I just stand there, looking at the ground. The others look at each other.

"I think she's serious," Yuri says, The attention went to Yuri. "Lets let her explain more." The attention goes back to me.

The attention is back to me... "Cato knows more though... But apparently um.. my father was a demon and my mother was a priest.. I take more after father..." I explain a bit further. Cato looks away, seeming to have hidden some things. Well, he did say he was forbidden to say some things.. I try not to think about it. 

"Was?" Clyde asks. I try and hold back the tears. Its like they are interogating me! "Cato told me they passed away, ok?.." I turn around and reach to the floor to grab my bag. ... I left my bag in my room... I stand up straight and freeze, not wanting to move. It felt like everyone was staring at me which, of course, they were.

"Do you want your bag?" Cato asks. I nod.

"I'll get it myself.." I say. How can I when they keep staring? This is uncomfortable.. What can I do without moving..? I do have my uh.. powers... I hold out my hand towards the stairs. I draw it back a bit, trying to think if it was a good idea to use my powers. Cato knew what I was thinking. The whole group could easily tell I was frozen cause of being too uncomfortable.

I put my hand back up towards the stairs. A light purple starts to glow from my hands. It stretches out and goes up the stairs. "Huh?!"  Everyone stares at me. In my mind i could see my power in my room. I make a hand at the end of it and grab my bag. I quickly bring it down to me. The light purple light vanishes as i grab my bag with my hands.

I didnt want to turn around. I felt eyes gazing at me. "I-I have to find my brothers... B-bye!" I try to rush out of the room. Someone grabs my arm and pulls me back towards them. I gasp, not knowing who puled me at first.

I look up at the person. Clyde had pulled me into a hug. "I'm sorry for forcing you to tell.." Clyde says. I hugs him back tightly. 

"Hey, why don't we all help her?" Zuri offers. Clyde lets me go. We all stare at him. Cato smiles.

"Jinj wouldn't let me help her. Good luck trying to persuade her for all of us helping her." Cato laughs a bit. Clyde smiles. 

"It sounds like fun." Yuri says. Blake nods.

"I'm in for it. Do we get paid?" Clyde jokes, laughing. Everyone laughs. I smile a bit. Zuri puts out a hand to me.

"So, will you let us help you or not?" Zuri says, with a smile on his face. Everyone actually accepts me.. Should i let them come with me?

I smile, now knowing the answer. "Yes." I say. Cato seemed surprised. Zuri punches the air in victory.

"YES! COME ON LETS GET PACKED! LETS GO NOW!" Zuri seemed really excited. He ran up the stairs to get packed.

"What a kid ya got there!" Clyde laughs, smacking Yuri's back. Yuri's glasses almost fall off. Yuri sighs and pushes his glasses further up his nose. Cato smiles. Blake was also smiling.

"Knowing Jinj we should pack light and get going. Like she said when she was five, we can't waste time!" Cato laughs. I blush. Everyone starts to pack.

Cato was the first one done since he knew what to bring and what not to bring. He sits by me on the couch. I was thinking about the time when Cato had to wipe all those people's minds. "Thinking about that time, huh?" Cato almost whispers. I nod. Cato sighs and hugs me. "I just didn't want them to ruin your life, Jinj.. Scientists couldv'e found out and tooken you away from me..." Cato says, going into a whisper.

"I know.. I appreciate you taking care of me, Cato.." I say. We hear someone coming down the stairs. Cato lets me go and ruffles my hair. Zuri had a small backpack on him. He sat in a chair just as Blake comes down.

"I got some clothes, my phone, my charger, shampoo... I think thats all I got!" Zuri laughs. I smile.

"You won't be needing your phone though." I say. Zuri sticks out his tounge with a funny face. I giggle. Blake holds his bookbag close to him. It looked like books were in there. "Are books in your bag Blake?" I ask

Blake nods. "And clothes." He quietly says. Clyde comes down with Yuri right behind him. 

"Zuri, I beleive you left this." Yuri hands Zuri his hairbrush. He also handed Blake his hairbrush. Clyde searches in his bag. 

"Man, I forgot mine!" Clyde quickly runs up the stairs. Most of us laugh. Clyde comes back down, waving his hairbrush in the air. "I'm all good! Lets get going!" He laughs.
