"Wake up," someone says.

I groan and turn away from the noise.

"Korra, you need to wake up before Tenzin finds that you're not in your room."

I so badly don't want to but I force myself to open my eyes. I turn back towards Mako and look at him.

"I thought he had a council meeting about the vines today?"

"It got cancelled because they have to find a new place to meet since their usual one got covered up with the vines overnight," he says.

"Ugh," I say as I start to get out of Mako's bed.

"Korra," he says.

"Yes?"

"I still think we need to get you to a healer."

"I'm fine. I told you that already." I say, looking at him.

"You're a terrible liar."

I sigh and say, "Whatever. I need to be leaving your room, remember?"

I walk out of his room and quietly shut the door behind me. The first thing I see when I turn around is Tenzin staring at me with his arms crossed. It makes me jump because I wasn't expecting to see him.

"Hey Tenzin. Uh, I had to go ask Mako something," I say.

"I can find Mako and Bolin a different place to stay if that's what I need to do to keep you and him out of the same bed," He says.

"What are you talking about?" I ask.

"You know exactly what I'm talking about. I came to check on you last night and you were gone. I am very disappointed in you, Korra."

I look down and say, "I'm sorry. I came into his room last night after another nightmare."

"If it happens again he will be forced to leave and you will be brought to a healer. Do you understand?"

I look up at him and nod. Tenzin walks away and I go back to my room and sit down on my bed. I start thinking about my nightmares because I've gotten into the routine of doing it in the morning. Thinking about them causes me to remember something. I remember the voice I heard last night..

I love you.

I must've just imagined it to be those words because Mako would never say that to me again.

Or would he?

It doesn't matter because I can't risk having Tenzin make him leave the island again.

I walk down the hall towards the bathroom and get in the shower. When I'm in a stand there for a while just thinking about all that's happened recently. There's one thought in the back of my mind that I don't really want to confront.

Do I like Mako?

Ever since the breakup we have been fine with just being friends, other than him acting a little awkward about it at times. I was so sure then that it wasn't meant to be but now...

I quickly snap back to reality when I realize that the water is losing heat because I've been in here for too long. I finish up my shower, dry off, and put my clothes back on. As soon as I get my clothes back on I start to head outside to practice my bending techniques. Practicing has always cleared my mind. When I'm making my way down the hallway I hear a voice behind me.

"Hey, Korra."

I stop and turn around to see Mako standing in the doorway of his bedroom.

"Hey," I say in response.

"So I was thinking that maybe me and you could do something today," he says as he brings an arm up to rub the back of his neck.

I continue to look at him and his cheeks start to lightly turn pink.

His eyes look away in nervousness and he says, "Or if you don't want to I'm okay with that, too."

I start to smile at him because I find it cute how worked up he's getting over this.

"Sure. What do you have in mind?"

He looks back to me with bright eyes.

"I thought that maybe we could go have a picnic? Or if you have another idea that's fine," he says.

"That actually sounds good, I'm pretty hungry."

He smiles at me and takes my hand as he leads us out of the hallway.
