~Radio Interview~
Crystal P.O.V
I got to the radio station; I came right after cheer because we stayed late, pretty much everyone was already there. I walked in with my duffle bag full of stuff. Derek walked over to me and hugged me. I smiled at everyone including Jojo Wright. I’ve heard good things about him. Simon said,
“How was cheer darlin’?”
“Oh, it was fantastic…”
He laughed; I saw L.A., Harry and Riker.
“Riker, what are you doing here?”
“I couldn’t miss my best friend’s first radio play.”
I smiled and hugged him. I had great friends. We sat down, well me and Harry got ready for the interview. I was actually super nervous…
Interview:
Jojo: Hello, I am now with Crystal Holland and Harry Styles. Harry is just the vistor. Crystal is my guest because two of her songs are going to be played on the radio.
Crystal: Oh god, I can’t believe you just said that…
Jojo: It’s true!
Crystal: I know, I’m going to cry. This is amazing, ah!
Jojo: So before we play, let’s talk. How did ‘Let’s Dance’ come about?
Crystal: Well, Damon Sharpe wrote most of the lyrics. I wrote the chorus and it just came together as a up-beat pop party song. I had a blast recording it.
Jojo: What came first, chorus or lyrics?
Crystal: Uhm, chorus. I wrote it like three years ago. I showed it too Damon and he came up with amazing lyrics.
Jojo: Now the one with Harry, did you write that?
Crystal: Yep, I wrote it and came up with the music.
Jojo: How did that come up?
Crystal: Oh funny story. Derek and I had just gotten in a fight, kind of broke up and I wrote a bunch of songs. ‘Almost Is Never Enough’ was one of those.
Jojo: What’s it about?
Crystal: Uhm, basically a relationship that ended too soon. It was great and we almost had it all but almost is never enough. I wanted it to mean something and show emotion.
Jojo: How did Harry get on this?
Crystal: Well Simon wanted us to do a song together. Harry looked through my song book and picked this one.
Jojo: It’s that easy to do a song with Harry Styles?
Crystal: I’m a lucky girl.
Harry: Honestly it was an honor to do a song with her. She is an amazing singer, songwriter and all around person.
Jojo: Aw, you two are cute. I would say date but I know you’re with Derek.
