Chapter Thirteen

Grayson pulls you off of Veronica. Well, tries to.

Your fist was in constant contact with her skull, making it almost impossible for her to still be conscious.

Your hands travel to the sides of her head, gripping her hair and head. You push her head down and pull your knee up, hitting her forehead with your knee.

She drops to the floor and you stand up properly.

You grab Grayson's hand and lead him to the front of the store.

You put the clothes you wanted on the counter and the woman scanned them, asking for your money afterward.

You hand her the amount of money you owed, and grabbed the bag of clothes she had placed them in.

"Thank you, have a nice day!" The young lady says cheerfully behind you. You smile and thank her, wishing her the same.

"I can't believe you just-" Grayson starts,

"Don't. You have no idea what she's done to me and I'm not starting now. Okay? This is our date and we are going to have a nice day." Your friendly smile brings one on his face and you continue to walk down the huge mall corridor.

"Do you want anything else?" Grayson asks, breaking the silence between you two after a couple of minutes.

"Hmm...," you think, "oh, my bathing suit!" You remember.

He smiles and leads you into another store.

"This one?" You suggest, holding up a black two piece.

"Yeah, if you want" he smirks.

You smile and take it off of the rack. You walk up to the register and ask, "where are the changing rooms?" In the most polite way you could manage.

The teen, around your age, smiles widely and points to the back of the store.

"Back there. First left" she directs.

You nod, thank her, and walk to the back. You gave Grayson a small smile before closing the door behind you.

You smile at the way the bikini fit your body shape and remove it, not bothering to show Grayson what you looked like in it yet.

"Okay, lets go" you say as you head out of the dressing rooms.

"What? I thought I would get to see you in it?" Grayson asks.

"At the beach, remember?" You smirk. He nods.

The next place Grayson wanted to take you was the movie theatre.

"Large popcorn and two medium sodas please" Grayson orders.

"Anything else?" He asks.

"Can I get candy?" You ask like a child.

"Of course. What kind?"

"Uh.. (your choice of candy)"

He nods and orders. The man behind the counter eyes you down as he grabs the candy from the rack.

Grayson protectively wraps his arms around your shoulders and gives you a small squeeze.

"Yo, quite looking at my girl like that" his voice was deep and raspy, sounding threatening. You quiver under his arm and look up to his tall figure.

He looks down at you through his lashes, showing no expression.

After you got your tickets and food, you head into the theatre that was showing DeadPool 2.

You sit at the back of the theatre, the best view you could get.

You set the food down and immediately pull out your phone. You open Snapchat and take a picture of Grayson while the room was still light.

'Date with this cutie 😍' you caption it. You post it on your story and Grayson laughs.

"What?" You laugh with him.

He holds up his phone to show you what you had just posted.

"How did you get my snap?!" You ask, whisper-yelling.

"Alyssa, Ethan, other people" he smiles. You bring your hand up and smack your forehead with your palm.

"Oh my god" you grunt.

"It's okay" he whispers, putting his hand on your thigh.

You take in a sharp breath and freeze in your seat.

"Are you okay?" His hand stayed where it was and didn't move an inch.

"Y-yeah"

"Want me to move it?" He asks. You shake your head.

The lights dim and the movie starts, silence filled the room. His hand was resting on your knee, but moved up to your mid-thigh.

You released a breath of air you didn't know you were holding.

A sudden urge rushed through you and your body went limp, resting itself on Grayson's shoulder.

Your head lay on his shoulder as his rested on your head, like a block tower, and you placed your hand on his.
