You wake up the same way you went to sleep.

Hurt. Broken. Messed up and gross.

You groan lightly as you get out of bed and head to the shower.

You peel your skin tight dress off your body, but don't bother to look at it. You hurl it in the garbage can without a second thought or glance.

You wanted everything of last night gone. Especially Grayson.

You look at yourself in the mirror.

Your make up ruined. Your hair ruined. Your life, not the same anymore.

You've always had a bad-girl reputation, now that was gone too. The entire school has seen you cry and storm out but it was so hard to fight back tears.

Your first love, the one who made you laugh when you didn't even want to smile. The one who put your heart back together when it broke.

The one who loved you so much that you forgot what pain was. But now he is the cause of your pain.

Tears swell at the bottom of your eyes as images of last night flash through your head.

You swipe at your face, destroying anymore evidence that you were crying. Your eyes were already puffy enough.

You stand in the shower for as long as possible, letting the water run all over your body until your mother interrupted your thoughts.

Your dangerous thoughts.

"Honey don't waste to much water please. Your father's taking a shower also" she shouts through the door.

Why?

Was all you ever asked yourself.

Was I never good enough? How long has this been going on? Maybe everything was just a joke and it was never meant to go on this long.

You tell yourself over and over again until your mind was clouded with negativity.

Once you're done with your shower, you get out and get dressed.

You go back to bed and try to fall asleep, but end up lying there with your eyes half open. Still thinking about everything you thought you did wrong.

You hear three knocks on your bedroom door.

"What" you murmur.

"Are you going to school today?" Your mother asks as she pokes her head through the door.

"No."

"Okay, well Alyssa is here. She wants to talk to you."

Despite everything, you were as happy as your heart would let you at the moment.

You knew she came because you haven't been answering anyone. You didn't want to talk to anyone.

You pat the large area of the mattress that you were not using, and signaled for her to sit.

"Hey" she says softly with a faint smile.

"Hi" you respond. Your voice was groggy.

"The whole school saw what happened huh" she looks down at her lap, sad for you.

You nod your head a couple times before your dead eyes land on something behind her and stay there.

"Yeah, Ethan saw it too and he told me everything," she says, "but I talked to Grayson and-" you cut her off.

"Don't" you say, holding a palm up toward her for silence. "I don't want to hear what Grayson said. I saw what I saw and that's it" you say, shutting down whatever hope she had to help you talk to him.

You spoke your first non-one-worded-sentence for the day. And that's all would want to manage.

"Okay, but I just want you to know that it's not what it looked like" she whispers.

"He told me everything. He really loved and still loves you. He's been breaking down all last night and today. He won't eat and he can't sleep. Y/n look at me!" She yells. Tears fell silently down her soft cheeks.

"Leave." You say sternly. Her face falls and then freezes.

"What" she breathes.

"You heard me. Leave. Now." You grit your teeth as you hiss the words at her.

"No, I can't. I won't leave y/n" she says as more tears fall.

You get up and stand by the side of your bed.

"I told you to fucking leave! Now! I don't want you in my house! I don't want anyone in my life, i don't want anyone to talk to me! And I don't want his name to be said under this fucking roof anymore!" You shout at the top of your lungs.

Anger boils and runs through your veins.

"Fine. If that's what you want" Alyssa says quietly.

You walk the halls of the crowded school. Everyone looked at your way and you gave them sour looks back.

"What the fuck is everyone staring at? Is there something to look at, huh?!" You shout, throwing your arms in the air.

"Everyone needs to mind their own fucking business!" You yell once more before continuing on your way.

"Miss y/l/n, you're late" your teacher says as you walk in the doors of your first class.

"And? Just be glad I'm here, damn" you say. You look at the back of the class and see Grayson's empty seat.

"Do you want me to send you to the principals office?" He says, trying to sound threatening.

"Oh that would be lovely!" You fake the enthusiasm.

"Just sit down" your teacher rolls his eyes and you smile sarcastically.
