Autumn came back to the cliff after two days, hoping to not see the strange boy again. This time, Autumn set at the edge of the cliff, closer. She sighed, kicking her legs over the edge.

"Oh, how delightful!"

Autumn jumped at the voice and turned around. She sighed and looked back down.

"You, again. How long has it been, my stalker?" She questions him.

"Stalker? Oh, yes, me. I am your stalker. I stalk you every night." He giggles, taking a seat beside her. "And it's been two days." He adds. She ponders for a minute before asking.

"What's your name, anyways? And how'd you find this place. I haven't seen anyone out here in forever." Autumn asks, shielding her eyes from the sun with her hands.

"The name's Irwin. Ashton Irwin." He whips his head as an exaggeration.

"Ok. Quit with the James Bond impersonations. How'd you find this place?" Autumn tilts her head, awaiting his response.

"I just like to ride around. One night I found this place. Had a good view. What about you?" He gestures to her.

"Um, reasons. I-I just like it here." She hesitates, her words quieter than before. Ashton gets the hint, stopping himself from pouring salt into a reopened wound.

"So, I never did get your name." He tells her, his voice in a questioning tone.

"It's Autumn, like the season." She replies.

Ashton nods in acknowledgment.

"Pretty name for a pretty girl."

Autumn scurries to her feet, grabbing her journal and book. Ashton looks up at her questionably. She strays away from eye contact, looking at the ground.

"I-It's about time I go. Bye." She hurries in embarrassment.

Without waiting for a response she quickly leaves. She shakes her head and brings her hand up to her forehead.

"Why can't I take a compliment? I made a fool of myself." Autumn thinks, her cheeks still a light pink.

She walks back home, clutching her belongings.
