The Nameless One, in its infant days before it was given purpose it was another simple abomination that swam and fed along the black spires of the Dreaming One's domain. It was an inquisitor of souls both mortal and divine, forever adding their tastes to its screaming taste buds. But on this day, it was unsatisfied. It had sunk its teeth into Bastards of the Seven-Eyed Lion, tore the blood-soaked flesh off the Demons of the Black Wild, slurped into its acids the coiled world eaters of the stars and yet, none of these beasts sounded as tender and mouthwatering as the ones set to inherit the Frontier of Creation. The Nameless One jetted through the oceans of the Dreaming One's mind, subjecting itself to the ear-grating madness of the screaming currents by which many, man and god alike, had lost their lives. This was but a minor inconvenience compared to the task at hand. Just laying a finger within the airspace of the golden jawed children was unheard of. And it planned to do something even more ambitious. It would devour one of their souls. "There!" The Nameless One thought as it laid eyes on its prey. It swam into a mass of glowing roots just above the surface and then... A blinding light faded and the creature found its perch on a beach of pink sand. Its tail split and formed into a twisted mass of beasts that formed into the shape of bulging legs. It stood and took a whiff of the peach scented air and tasted the sugary sand on its fingers. It extended its arms and shed from them, zombified husks of the beings it had dined on in past eons. "Find it!" The Nameless One commanded in a language unfathomable to the mortal mind. The husks raced into the leafy green unknowns of the jungle before them. Through their noses, the Nameless One could smell the candle-like scent of the soul it so longed for. The only problem was the soul that it sought so desperately could smell its miasma as well. A pink flame tackled a husk and plunged its golden nails through its skull. The Nameless One's many eyes widened as its husks were ripped apart without the slightest sign of what annihilated them. It was only the final husk, whose body laid limp and impaled onto a tree's branches, that saw the flame stand still. A bronze skinned goddess with a tower of pink flame on her head and a jaw of gold and rose quartz, just as the legends said. "Masihako." The Nameless One uttered and then blackness. The Nameless One awoke to the brushing of rough obsidian toned skin on its face. It shifted its eyes and felt the hot press of the four-eyed giants breath as it inspecting every inch of its body. Hunger began to set in. "This creature is definitely one of the more fascinating breeds you've brought me, sister." "Yeah, I'm sure. So can you tell me what it is already?" "It's an eldritch creature not unlike the others that feed in the mindscape but, this one has developed abilities that are far more close to us than you may have realized. Every one of the living husks that make up its body was once their own being but, when this creature devours them they become forever bonded to its soul. Or at least that was the case before I dissected them. Still its most intriguing function is its ability to emit energy of a divine quality once its fed." "Is that so?" Masihako said with intrigue. The Nameless One bore its fangs and lunged at the four-eyed figure but, to no avail. Its body was bound and spread along an unmoving metal ring that the green-eyed giant adjusted to keep a tighter hold. "Hungry..." whimpered the Nameless One. "It speaks?" The giant asked turning to Masihako. "Yeah, I guess so." Masihako acknowledged turning head away from the now malnourished creature. "Are you sure you want me to continue? I know you have a soft spot for the more intelligent creatures." Masihako's flame pulsated with her sigh. "Give me a minute with the thing Bahumana." "Very well," he accepted and left the room. Now it was just the creature, Masihako, and the severed limbs and bodiless organs strewn about the room. "You came all this way just for a meal huh. You've got determination, you're not that smart, but you've got determination." Masihako formed a drop of pink nectar on her finger and raised it to the Nameless One's mouth. The creature stuck its tongue out and tasted it. Its eyes widened and changed to a glowing pink. Its body began to plumpen and its muscles tightened as pink marking began to spread throughout its body. The taste was as satisfactory as the sweetest nectar after years without drink. "Wha- What is that?!" The creature cried. "That's love sweetheart. Freshly squeezed with no water or added preservatives." "More... please!" The Nameless One begged. "You know, maybe we could help each other." The Nameless One looked at her and smiled. Eons later a festival was held where people from all across the planet Earth had come to be blessed. A man walked amongst a crowd of people kneeling with their hands joined tightly. There were tears and smiles on every face and the man spoke. "My soon to be brothers and sisters. We are gathered here to witness and join with the truest form that love has ever taken. To become the nutrients pulled from the roots to be fused with the light of Masihako. To live in absolute peace and sanctity with your husbands, your wives, your children, and whomever else for the rest of eternity as the nectar of The Oak!" A pink column of flame shot into the skies and every star glared pink light onto them. A creature whose size dwarfed any man, woman or child present swam out. The people's mind and bodies began to fill with euphoria as they gazed upon its glowing rose gold scales and the varying colors that danced in the webbings of its fined tail. "Take us! Please take us!" The people begged. And the Nameless One... No, The Oak bore its fangs. The End
