parker's hand was held in mine as we walked down the hallway. people didn't stare as much anymore. or I learned to just ignore most of it. i did notice the prom posters that littered the walls though.
prom.
it felt that that was the only thing that people were talking about. who was going with who. who was wearing what. if you weren't going and why.
i could see the way he would look at the poster. i knew he wanted to go. he knew i didn't want to go. he knew i was scared.
sometimes you have to face your fears.
