i never pictured myself going to prom. at least i never pictured it until isaiah came into the picture. even then it took me a while to know. to know that he was the one that i wanted to share everything with. 

everything meaning, the good and the bad, the small and the big. 

everything meaning prom as stupid as it sounded sometimes.

but i saw the uncertain way he would look at the posters then me. i knew he was scared. of what? i wasn't sure.

sometimes you have to give up what you want for someone else.
