JIMIN
1 week before graduation
"yah, Jimin, where are we going?"
"hyung, stop complaining, just trust me, for god's sake," Jimin replied, laughing. this had to be perfect. he had been planning this for months, but couldn't execute it until they were both free.
a lot had happened.
first, his parents had found out about him being gay. amazingly, his brother and his friends had jumped to his aid, convincing them that the world was changing, and Jimin was mature and old enough to know what he wanted, and who he wanted to be with. when they had asked if he was dating anyone, he had quickly replied yes. if this surprise worked out, he could finally prove to his parents he was serious. also, it was a chance to fix things with Seokjin, and tell him the truth.
second, Seungcheol and his gang of Bacteria- sorry, friends, had left them alone, mainly because Seokjin had threatened to...well Jimin didn't know. he also didn't want to know. whatever Seokjin had said was probably enough, because the last two months had been as peaceful as high school could be.
Third, Yoonseok was together again. everyone was happy. there was word that Sana and Kyungsoo were dating, which was nice, because she was a lot nicer, albeit still kind of a bitch, but she had apologized and everything. she had fitted herself nicely into the group.
Yerim and Jongdae were on and off, but both seemed happy.
even Taehyung and Jeongguk, who had originally hated each other, were going on little dates. Taekook was dominating the school hallways. the only competition however...Jinmin. if they got together, that is.
Jimin seriously wanted that to happen.
"Jimin, i'm serious, could you at least tell me where we're going?" Seokjin pleaded.
"No, because that defeats the point. besides, we're already here." Jimin pulled Jin to a spot he had specifically requested. the sea was peaceful, waves lapping on the shore. the air was cool, ruffling his hair. "okay, you can take off the blindfold now."
(A/N: imagine its night and stuff)
Seokjin happily obliged, looking around. "wha-? how-?" he spluttered.
Jimin smiled. "i had help."
Seokjin snorted. "clearly. is that food?"
"yup. all you can eat, plus waffles, bought and prepared by the Golden Baby himself, Jeon Jeongguk."
"i'm assuming there's a 'featuring Taehyung' as well."
"well, yeah, but he did nothing and just distracted Jeongguk, so."
"i don'd doubt it," Seokjin replied, smiling. this was the sweetest thing Jimin had done so far, and he knew it. Jimin gestured to the chairs, "shall we?"
"we certainly shall."
as they ate, laughed, talked, Jimin decided to ask a question he hadn't had the guts to ask over the past few weeks. "Jin hyung..."
"yes, Jimin?"
"Your scars... are they still there?" Jimin's voice grew smaller with every word.
Seokjin rubbed his neck nervously. "only the arm cut. it'll take time to heal."
"which arm?"
at first, Seokjin hesitated. then, he rolled up his left arm sleeve, revealing a jagged cut. Jimin didn't dare look at it too long. he still hated how he had let it happen, he had even thrown a few punches himself, he couldn't believe that he had succumbed to it, and had hurt his best friend. no, the love of his life. "I'm sorry, Seokjin."
Jin looked amused. "you know, I've lost count of how many times you've said and proved that after the 367th time, to be honest."
Jimin laughed. it felt nice, talking laughing, being care-free. it felt right. then he remembered. "Graduation's coming."
Jin looked at him. "it's only a year, then you're joining me, don't worry about it."
"its a year too long."
"It's only a year, Jimin. you'll be fine."
"I'll miss you."
"of course you will. i'll miss you as well. but you'll be fine, okay? just like we've been planning for the past 12 years."
"its not the same."
Jin stared at him, eyebrows raised. "how so?"
Jimin sighed. he had the slightest feeling that he was going to regret this. "I have to tell you something."
Jin propped his elbows on the table, and placed his face in his hands. "Do tell."
"i love you."
silence. an awkward laugh. "so do i?"
Jimin groaned. "No, hyung. like...you're the crush. i like you. a lot. and i want to date you, and be there for you, but if you don't then it's perfectly fine, and i understand."
Seokjin stared at him. "r-really? you like me?"
Jimin internally face-palmed. "forget it, i shouldn't have said anything, i'm sorry, just forget it, i-"
"Jimin."
"What?"
"i love you too. and not...in a platonic way."
Jimin stared at him. "you do?"
"yes."
"Ah."
Seokjin looked at him, as if waiting for something. "So...i'm assuming i have to do it."
"Do what?"
Jimin had never been kissed by a guy before. he decided he liked guy lips. more specifically, he liked Seokjin's lips. "More, hyung. keep 'em coming."
Seokjin smirked slightly, which looked odd on him (but equal parts endearing). "What a needy brat you are. when did you become like this?"
"Oh shut up, you love me," Jimin replied, grabbing Seokjin's face and kissing him again. this time, Jimin took full control. everything else dissipated, it was only that moment that mattered.
"so...be my boyfriend?"
Seokjin laughed. "you got it, shortcake."
"pinky promise?"
Seokjin furrowed his eyebrows. "what are you, five?"
Jimin pouted. "are you going to promise or not?"
Seokjin sighed lovingly. "Pinky promise."
