JIN

Jin returned home to yelling from the living room. he sighed, and quietly made his way upstairs, in order to wait for the storm to be done with. he went into his room, and saw the glass from the broken picture frames still on the floor. he dropped his bag in a corner, and started cleaning up the sharp shards.

he was almost done, when his mother came into the room. she said nothing, and instead silently helped him clean up the glass. she didn't ask why he had broken them, or why Jimin hadn't come over, as he always did after school. Jin could clearly see that her eyes were tired and bloodshot, meaning that his sister was stable now.

he had come home many times before to his sister crying and screaming or struggling against his mother. the happy, bubbly woman she had once been slowly slipped away and was replaced by an overworked, tired version of his mother.

when they were done, she took the trash-bag from Jin, and left, closing the door behind her, and Jin collapsed on the bed.

7:46

Jin looked up from his homework to a text from Yoongi.

Turtle

wanna go for drinks? kyungsoo's treat

nah, i'm good. don't feel like drinking

Turtle

you sure? you get to be drunk for free. that's a pretty sweet deal, considering the week you've had

go without me, turtle-face. i'll see you tomorrow.

Turtle

alrighty, your loss beanstalk

Seokjin winced at the use of the nickname. Jimin used to call me that. he shook himself out of it. thinking about that traitorous prick wouldn't do him any good.

FLASHBACK

Seokjin hated horror movies. absolutely hated them.

so of course, Park Jimin took immense pleasure in tricking him to watch 'comedy' movies.  that little brat, honestly.

on this particular day, he had lost a bet, so Jimin was forcing him to watch the only horror movie Seokjin had not been tortured into watching: The Exorcist.

popcorn? ready. couch with pillows and blankets? check. one annoying midget by the name of Park Jimin wrapped up in said blanket with a mischievous smile on his face? double check.

"Jinnie, come on, it's not even that scary," the younger said, amused at his hyung's actions.

Jin was refusing to come out from under the covers. "it is scary, you heathen, for gods sake, i wanna watch something else."

Jimin lifted the covers to look at Jin, pouting. "Please, Jin hyung, this one for me?" he gave Jin the puppy eyes.

"no, Park." he looked at Jimin again, who looked nearly on the verge of crying.

Jin sighed. "fine."

he came out from under the covers. Jimin immediately cuddled up next to him, so that he couldn't move. every time something scary happened, Jimin would pull Jin;s face down to look at him, or distract him with something.

after an hour, Jimin fell asleep, breathing softly, his face turned to Seokjin's chest. he looked so adorable. Jin had already realized a long time ago that he had a crush on the annoying midget. it was tearing him apart, because what if Jimin didn't like him back?

Jin woke Jimin up after the movie was over. they lay their on the couch comfortably, as Jin ran a hand through Jimin's  hair.

8:30 p.m.

Seokjin rarely ate dinner. or breakfast, the only meal he had all day was the school lunch, and that was it. not because he was anorexic (at least, he didn't feel like he was)  but because he just didn't feel like eating food anymore. food used to be life for him, and now it was simply an obligation he didn't have any interest in fulfilling.

he took off his shirt to change for bed. his eyes caught the mirror. he looked at the scars on his chest. the bruises still hadn't faded.

as he pulled on a clean loose shirt, only one thing went through his mind.

as he lay down in bed, letting the darkness engulf him, only one thing ran through his mind.

as he fell asleep, slowly, only one thing went through his mind.

i hate you Park Jimin.
