Chapter 2

Jimin's POV

I'm so stupid. So. Fucking. Stupid. How could I do something like that? I can't believe myself. I'm disgusted by my own actions. Of course he hates me now. Why wouldn't he? I hate myself. What I did was despicable, shameful, the worst thing a friend could do.

A friend is supposed to be supportive. Always here for each other. Making each other laugh. Standing by each other when no one else does.

That was Jin and I. Always. For the last 12 years, we were inseparable. We weren't just friends, we were brothers. When one was sad, the other would try to cheer him up. We always protected each other. Always here for each other. And most importantly, we kept each other's deepest, darkest, secrets. Things we didn't even tell our parents.

Jin always kept my secrets, and vice versa. For 12 years.

Until now at least.

I fucked up.

And now he hates me.

I know you're confused. What happened? You ask.

My answer: so much stupid shit, and its all my fault.

Let me backtrack.

Actually, it'll take some time. lets just start from when I started feeling...different about my best friend.

Third person POV

*Start of junior year*

(A/N: Jimin's junior year, Jin's senior year)

"Jinnie! There you are!" Jimin smiled at the broad shouldered boy.

Jin smiled back. "Yah, Jimin-ah, I told you not to call me that in school!"

Jimin pouted. "But its our thing, Jinnie!"

"Mhm. Whatever. Gotta go I'll be late for class. See you at lunch, Jimin!" Jin disappeared into the crowd.

Jimin stood there, in the middle of the hallway, hurt. Now suddenly that Jin was a senior, he had to let go of everything? How stupid. Jimin sighed.

"JIMINIEEE! There you are!" Kim Taehyung had jumped on him.

"Yah, Taehyung, I told you not to call me that."

Taehyung rolled his eyes. "Why? Oh yea its reserved for your precious Jin hyung. No wait what do you call him? Oh yeah, Jiinnniee," Taehyung said in a teasing voice.

"I don't see why you have such a problem about my friendship with him. What did he ever do to you?" Jimin replied.

Taehyung smiled at him. "Nothing, really. It's just cute how you two have little nicknames for each other. Lets get to class." Taehyung pulled Jimin along. As they walked through the hall, the little sophomore girls swooned at Taehyung, Taehyung enjoying the attention, occasionally winking at one, smirking at another.

Jimin rolled his eyes. Taehyung's playboy moves never stopped. As they passed the history class, he heard one say, "Oh my god, that Park Jimin guy is so hot!" Jimin ducked away, his cheeks burning.

Lunch came. Jimin sat at his usual place, waiting for Seokjin. After about 15 minutes, in which Jimin had already finished half his pasta bowl, Jin appeared, looking flustered. "Sorry I'm late, got caught up." He said, sitting down opposite Jimin. He looked at him. "How was first day as a junior?"

Jimin shrugged. "Same old, same old, I guess," Jimin sighed. Jin nodded. They had a silence, as Jin ate. He ate in such a cute way. His eyes glazed over in ecstasy. He started telling Jimin about what happened in his Korean literature class, and how the teacher looked like a shriveled vulture with a mono-brow and a permanent scowl. Jimin smiled.

"Okay what's wrong with you? Are you okay?" Jin asked, looking concerned. Jimin blinked.

"No, no everything's fine. Its nothing." Jin stared at him. He never lied to Jin. Something was up. "Okay..." Jin said uneasily. A gaggle of girls, walked past.

"Oh my god oh my god, Yeri look at him! He's like an angel!"

"Who?"

"Aish, Yeri, Kim Seokjin of course! Weren't you listening to me?" They giggled, and walked away. An awkward silence fell on the table. Jin's cheeks were red as a tomato. Jimin felt angry. He wanted to tell those girls, to fuck off.

But why? Why would he feel so protective? He looked at Jin. Jin was on his phone, eyebrows furrowed, lips slightly parted, eyes focused on what he was reading. He looked so...cute. Wait what? What was he thinking?

Jin looked up. "Do I have antlers?"

Jimin stared at him. "W-what?"

"I said, do i have antlers?"

"N-no."

"Then quit staring at me as antlers just grew out of my head."

 "No, no, I just, um...Yeah."

Jin raised his eyebrows."You got something to say, Park Jimin?"

"No."

"Mhm. I'll believe that."

"Oh shut up."

Jin leaned forward. His eyes filled with mirth and mischief.

"Make me, Park."

They didn't break eye contact. Jimin's head was going to explode. Those doe-like eyes were staring into his, and he didn't know what to do.

"This better be a no homo situation going on right now, otherwise i'm out."

they both looked up. Kim Taehyung was standing there, arms crossed. Next to him, was Min Yoongi, Seokjin's other friend. Jin rolled his eyes. "Shut up, Min."

Yoongi leaned closer. "Make me," he said in a terrible imitation of Jin. Jimin and Jin exchanged an exasperated look. "See you after school?" Jimin asked.

"Duh, I'm dropping you off, remember?"

"Quit rubbing your brand new expensive car in my face."

"I'll do what I want, Park Jimin. Deal with it. Bye!" Jin walked off with Yoongi, both of them laughing. Jimin stood up. He and Tae looked at each other. Taehyung was smiling. "Why are you smiling?"

"Can't I smile?"

"I didn't know you had the ability."

"I am offended Park Jimin."

"I'm serious, I thought all you could manage was a slightly less brooding smirk."

"Oh shut it, Liliput."

"Oi! I'm not that short!" Jimin huffed.

Taehyung laughed, "Keep telling yourself that."

they walked to class, still bickering.

The rest of the day, Jimin's thoughts were on nothing and nobody except Kim Seokjin.

Present day

Jimin's POV

That day was so long ago. Or did it just feel like that? Even then, I had the same feelings. The only difference? I wasn't as stupid as I am now.

I had a chance. I blew it.

And now I don't know how to get him back.

I got pulled to the dark side. And I can't get out.

It's my fault.

I'm such an idiot.
