Part I
Diggy woke up to another bright day in the Overworld. As usual, Olivia was sleeping-in, so Diggy decided to wake her. "Olivia, wake up, I'm making us breakfast in a bit" Diggy said to her soothingly. "Okay Diggy, I'm getting up" Olivia replied and sat up. Diggy moved Olivia's fringe away from her eyes and was greeted with a hug. She returned the hug and then got out of bed. Olivia did the same, but stumble as she got out. "Are you okay?" Diggy questioned.
"Yeah, I'm okay" she replied back and began to dress. Diggy put on her orange and white striped polo shirt and her blue shorts. Olivia put on her light-blue and white striped polo shirt and her grey shorts. When they left the bedroom, Hero was sitting at the table talking to Archie. "You're up early Hero" Olivia said to him. "Maybe you're just not up on time, sis" he replied. He called her 'sis' because she was more of a sister than a friend to him. Diggy treated him more like a 'son' than a friend ever since she took him in. In return, he sometimes called her 'mum'.
"What are we having today, mum?" he enquired in an innocent voice. "I think that I'm going to make some bacon sandwiches for us all. Sound good?" Diggy replied. "Okay" Olivia and Hero responded at the same time. Diggy walked to the kitchen and began to get the things she would need for breakfast. After some time later, she called for Olivia, Hero and Parnasis to sit at the dinning room table. The four of them ate their sandwiches and then, one-by-one, they went to brush their teeth.
Once they had all done that, Diggy had a discussion with them. "After the battle for this town, we sent the Tempest army home broken. But that was a long time ago. Today, I am planning to scout nearby towns and villages to see if they are in danger of attack from Tempest... we all know that Tempest came to rule our town, so they may be trying to rule others. In half an hour, I will leave this town to search for towns in need of help. If I find a place that has been taken by Tempest and its empire, I will attempt to free it from them. If the area willingly joined the Tempest, then I will leave them alone. I cannot do this without my team. Olivia, will you accompany me on this journey?" she enquired. "I will follow you into battle any time I am needed" Olivia answered hastily.
"What about me mum?" Hero asked. "Hero, you are a very powerful individual, and I care about you so much, but this town needs a protector. If the Tempest returned, and all three of us were gone, the Phalanx would not be able to defeat them alone. I need you to protect this town while me and Olivia are gone. Can you do that for me?" Diggy questioned. "I can, and I will. Come back alive though mum. Please... return home with Olivia alive" Hero responded once more.
Part II
Diggy and Olivia had been travelling for a few days, but they had not found a village or town that was under rule of the Tempest empire or in ruin from attack. But it was still early in the day and they had to travel about three miles to reach the next village. They continued walking until the sun was at its highest point. Diggy would use the sun to tell the time, and since it was always sunny, it was easy to tell the time. They stopped at the nearest rock formation and had lunch. While they were gone, Parnasis was in charge. He was trustworthy, but Diggy knew him all too well. Parnasis would end up making lunch at one PM instead of twelve PM. Once Diggy and Olivia had had lunch, they continued walking.
By now they would have been outside the village, but there was nothing to be seen. Then they heard the sound of a man shouting orders. The voice was familiar, too familiar, but they didn't know where they had heard it before. Then, in the distance, Diggy saw soldiers marching. They looked like they were materialising from where the village was meant to be. They both hid behind a large rock and then Olivia spoke. "They must have some sort of shield reflecting light particles of of it to make what ever is there seem invisible".

Something On The Horizon - A 21 Hour Story Project
Ficción GeneralI write this story about 3 or 4 years ago, and it took 21 hours to complete to a point where I saw satisfied (Ten Hours on Day One, Elevel on Day Two). The final chapter was never completed, but I feel it settled on a nice ending.
