Part I
Diggy woke up to another day in the Overworld – good. She liked it here. Olivia, once again, had not awoken from her sleep. This time though, instead of waking her, Diggy cuddled up with her and went back to sleep. She started to dream a dream she had not had before. She was in a lab. But it wasn't the one she knew. It seemed familiar though. She looked around and saw a girl curled up in the corner. She too, looked familiar, but who was she. The girl looked up at her with wide purple eyes, and then she knew who she was. The girl spoke in a soft voice "I had to do it... I had to save you..." and got up onto her feet. "Hannah? What do you mean?" Diggy asked her. "Goodbye mummy" said the girl, now sounding upset. Diggy was about to go to her when her vision began to blur. She woke in her bed staring into Olivia's eyes. Olivia knew what Diggy had just had happen, but she said nothing.
Olivia told Diggy she was going to the bathroom, and left the room. When she got into the bathroom, she locked the door and looked into the mirror. Her light blue hair had grown longer overnight, but how? She didn't understand. She moved her fringe out the way of her eyes. She started to stare into her blue eyes, they were hypnotic, but she resisted. What was happening to her? She didn't care, not as long as she didn't mentally change. After a few minutes, she left the bathroom and began to make breakfast.
When Diggy got out of bed, she couldn't keep her balance. Once again, her fringe was obscuring her vision, so she moved it. Her fringe seemed lighter than usual, maybe she was just imagining things. Either way, that wasn't her main concern. Now, her daily routine began, again. She went to the front door and almost opened it, then she realised that she hadn't gotten dressed. Luckily, no one was around to see her. She ran back into her room and got changed. Then she got back to doing her jobs. She opened the front door and went to the mailbox, but there was no mail. She went back inside and closed the door behind her. Next, she went to the kitchen. To her surprise, Olivia was there making breakfast. "Olivia, what are you doing in here?" Diggy enquired. "I'm making our breakfast. This morning we are having toast. Hope you don't mind..." Olivia concluded. "No, I don't mind at all, I'm just surprised to see you making breakfast" Diggy replied. "I thought that, since you were injured recently, you wouldn't but feeling well enough to make everyone's breakfast" Olivia offered. "Thank you" Diggy replied. "You're welcome" Olivia said.
Diggy noticed that Olivia's hair had grown, but she liked it. Olivia had noticed that Diggy's fringe had brightened and decided to ask "Diggy, have you noticed any changes on you this morning?"
"Actually, I have. Isn't it strange? I've also noticed that your hair has grown. I wonder what's happening to us" Diggy replied. She went to Olivia and began to cry. "You had another dream about Hannah didn't you?" Olivia enquired, while wrapping her arms around Diggy. Diggy replied with a nod, but not a word left her lips. "It's okay... you don't need to cry. We'll find her, I promise" Olivia said with confidence, then their heads met and Diggy stopped crying. Diggy kissed Olivia and felt a sensation she had never felt before, but it didn't last, as Hero walked. He stood in the kitchen doorway and watched for a few seconds and then he was noticed. Diggy was the first to notice him, and she pulled away from Olivia just enough to be able to speak in her indoor voice. "How long were you standing there?" Olivia asked Hero. "Your not in trouble, we just want to know" Diggy said. "A few seconds. I didn't mean to interrupt anything if I have..." Hero replied, slightly trembling. "It's fine. It wasn't too important. We were just having some time together" Diggy said, trying to be less menacing than she sounded.
Part II
Diggy and Olivia went to the dining room together and sat down at the table. They had put breakfast on the table a few minutes ago and everyone else was waiting for them. Diggy and Olivia started to eat their toast when Kelsey came out of the room she had chosen to sleep in. she had chosen to have a bed in Hero's room. She didn't give a reason for this, but she became shy around Hero. When they first met, she had announced that she knew about him until he lost his memory, but she would never tell him anything about his previous life.

Something On The Horizon - A 21 Hour Story Project
General FictionI write this story about 3 or 4 years ago, and it took 21 hours to complete to a point where I saw satisfied (Ten Hours on Day One, Elevel on Day Two). The final chapter was never completed, but I feel it settled on a nice ending.
