Toni and Jughead were just hanging out in Pops when Fangs burst through the door. "Fangs what's wrong?" Toni said rushing over to him. Fangs took a deep breath, "Sweet Pea got jumped by the Ghoulies! He's beaten up pretty bad. One of them stabbed him right in the knee! Come on they have him in the Whyte Wyrm!" Fangs said as all they all ran out the door and straight to the Whyte Wyrm.
Once they got there and rushed inside all they heard was yells from Sweet Pea. Toni saw his knee and noticed the knife was still in his leg. FP was trying to calm him down put Sweet Pea wouldn't. He tried to get away but they held him down. Toni went over to him. "Sweet Pea you gotta stay still okay,". Sweet Pea never liked showing he was weak especially to any of the girls. "Stay out of this Topaz," he said with his teeth gritted. Toni stepped back in shock but then realized what pain he was in. "Someone's gotta pull the knife out," FP said trying to keep Sweet Pea calm. Jughead then went over to him and grabbed the knife gently and started to slowly pull it out. Sweet Pea tried to escaped their grip. "Stop fighting boy, you'll only make things worse," FP said as Jughead struggled to get the knife out. "Toni go get some towels to wipe the blood away," Jughead said as Sweet Pea yelped in pain. Toni ran towards the bar and grabbed a couple towels. More screams escaped Sweet Pea's mouth but Jughead finally removed the knife from his knee and Toni came running towards them with the towels. She then pressed them against Sweet Pea's wound to stop the bleeding.
He was like her older brother and he was always there for her. She finally needed to be there for him. "We're going to go find those idiots, Toni stay here with Sweet Pea,". Sweet Pea was about to protest but they were all out the door before he could do so. Toni sat down next to him on the couch.
His leg was propped up on the table with towels that were now stained red with blood. But his right eye was now swelling and a deep cut on his cheek was now starting to bleed. Toni then grabbed one of the extra towels and grabbed one of the bottles of water on the table and poured a little on the towel. She then sat back down next to him and slowly put the towel against his face. Sweet Pea tried to pull away, "Stop, please, I'm just trying to help you," Toni said looking at him, but he wouldn't meet her gaze. "Sweet Pea!" Toni basically yelled, Sweet Pea finally met her eyes. "I don't need your charity Topaz,". Toni then just put the towel against his cheek, "You really need to stop acting so tough. Why do you despise people helping you? Especially me,". Sweet Pea just took a deep breath, "I am the one who is supposed to look out for my friends. You are literally my little sis, I don't like showing pain to my family,". He put his head back on the couch and took another deep breath but winced this time. Toni noticed this and just softly rubbed his shoulder. "We should really take you to the hospital. That leg looks really bad,". Toni said as she noticed that he was losing a lot of blood. "No, besides it's not like we have that kind of money anyway," Sweet Pea stated showing a look of pain on his face. Toni didn't have a response to that, so she just stayed silent. But she was finally able to gather herself, "Sweet Pea you're really hurt, that knee isn't going to heal on its own, you need medical attention, and I am not taking no for an answer. I have my car in the lot,". Sweet Pea finally gave in, "Fine, but how?" he asked trying to get his leg off the table. First she ran and got more towels, then removed the old ones from his legs and replaced them with new cleans one. She made sure to tie them tight so it would stop most of the bleeding. Slowly she helped get his knee off the table, and tried to help him stand. Once he was able to stand Toni could tell it wouldn't last long. She put his arm around her shoulders while her arm was around his waste. Every step they took was really a struggle for Sweet Pea. His knee was really causing him a lot pain. Once they had made it to the cars Toni helped Sweet Pea lean against the car for support as she went to open the door to the passenger side. She then helped him over to the door as he slowly got into the car. Toni shut the door and ran and got in. She started the car, and stepped on the gas pedal. On the way to the hospital there were a few bumps on the road. Sweet Pea winced as they hit another bump. "Where did you learn to drive?" he said squeezing his eyes shut. Toni just kept driving and probably broke every speeding law there was but she didn't care. Her best friend was hurt and she was going to help him. They finally arrived at the hospital and Toni ran and helped him out of the car as he limped into the hospital with her under his arm. "Please help! My friend, he was stabbed , he's bleeding really badly!" Toni yelled as they entered the building. Sweet Pea was raced onto a stretcher and was wheeled to the back. She held onto his hand until one of the nurses removed it. Toni couldn't hold her tears back anymore. She sat down in the waiting chairs and put head in her hands. She then knew she had to tell the rest Serpents.
