Prologue Part 1: The Tapes Please

Timeline: Season 1, after Clay has finished listening to all the tapes.

"Yo Jensen!" Julia calls out.

"What do you want?" Clay snaps back, almost rudely.

"Whoa. You're even ruder than me." she jokes.

"Well, what do you want?" he asks again.

"I need a favour, Clay." she replies seriously.

"What is it?"

"I want the tapes. I need them."

"What the hell are you talking about? How do you-?" he pulled into a corner and whispers, "How the fuck do you know about them?"

"I'd answer if you weren't being so rude, you know." she arches her eyebrows.

"Cut the crap Julia." says Clay irritably.

"Okay. Well, I already know who's on the tapes, so that really doesn't matter but I wanna know exactly what she said, okay?"

"Why the hell do you care? And how-" Clay snaps back, growing impatient.

"Look I-"

"Is he troubling you Jules?" Monty asks, as he and Scott Reed walk up to her and Clay, both of them throwing menacing glares at Clay.

"No Monty. No one was troubling me until you and your friend decided to show up. You can drop your useless heroic-guardian routine 'cause I don't need it. Save it for someone else and kindly fuck off." she answers coldly.

Monty looks, more like stares at her for five seconds, before saying "Whatever." He just shrugs his shoulders as he begins walking away.

"And don't ever call me Jules. You've lost the right to do that." she says in a monotone.

Monty continues to walk away, his back facing Julia and Clay now, pretending that he didn't hear the last of what she said, when he obviously did. Scotty Reed follows suit after glancing sadly at Julia.
