I woke up.

It was 11:00, I wondered why grandma hadn't woke me up.

I decided to go to her room.

She was still sleeping.

I decided to let her sleep for a while.

She needed it almost as much as i did.

I went to go get dressed into one of my new outfits.

Also, I needed to remind Grandma that I love her so very much and I am so thankful for her, when she wakes up.

I ran downstairs.

"How 'bout breakfeast?" I said to myself.

I grabbed some pancakes from the freezer.

I put them in the microwave.

I decided to read a book.

I went up to grandmas room and decided to choose one she had when she was little.

'The Secret Garden' I looked at it and read the back.

"Okay, why not?" I said.

I went downstairs again back to living room.

I sat on the couch.

I read the first chapter.

Eh, it was alright.

I decided to go wake grandma.

I sat up and walked upstairs.

I went to her and shook her.

Then I noticed she wasn't breathing.

"GRANDMA...GRANDMA!!!!" I shouted.

I felt her heart slow beats.

Then, all of a sudden...it stopped.

Tears started rolling down my cheeks.

I couldn't breathe. Everything seemed to be closing in on me, like the world didn't want me here, it didn't want me to be happy.

Soon after I started to ball my eyes out.

I held her hand and cried into her arm.

I ran down the stairs.

I fell and hit my head on the railing.

I felt my head to check if anything was wrong.

It was bleeding.

I grabbed the phone.

My hands were shaking.

I dialed 9-1-1.

"Hello, 911. What is your emergency?"

"My grandma, she just died." I sobbed into the phone.

"Okay, we'll send a cop over there. But we have a few questions."

"Please hurry."

"We need your address, and your name."

"XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX and my name is Audrey!" My hands were shaking.

"Okay, the police are on their way." I ended the call.

It took minutes and I heard cop cars.

There were loud knocks & I ran to the door.

"Hello, Audrey?", an older man looked down and me. I looked up at the cop.

"Yea,"

"Are you okay? Where's your grandma." He said.

"I'm fine for now. But, upstairs, follow me" I said.

I bolted upstairs into my grandmas room.

"There.." I pointed.

"Okay, do you have parents?" He said.

This was the time I would have to tell on my parents.

"Yea, I lived with grandma because my parents hurt me." I whimpered.

"Who are your parents?" I told him my parents.

"You'll have to go into the foster system.." He said.

I nodded.

"Pack your things. I'm going to get more of my partners, I'll have one of them to bring to where you need to be, okay?" He patted my head.

I nodded and went to my room. I packed everything.
