A/N
So this chapter will be more intense and a little longer. Also more vampire action. I hope you enjoy!
"Sit on the couch. Now." My mother's arms were crossed which was never a good sign.
I sat on the couch and avoided eye contact.
"Where the hell were you? You can't just waltz on out of here like it's no big deal." My dad demanded me to answer.
"Well... it's really not that big of a deal." I played with my bracelet.
"No big deal?? You are a Princess!! Yes it is a big deal! We thought someone had kidnapped you out of your window!" My mother yelled.
"Ok... no need to yell! I'm seventeen years old. I'd like to think I can take care of myself. I survived today, didn't I?"
"Where the hell were you?" My dad repeated his question from earlier.
"I went to the mall with a few friends."
"What friends?" He asked.
"It's not like you know them! You'd never let them come in the castle! They would totally steal my throne... and the lion statue over there... Oh no... so scary..."
"I don't need your sarcasm young lady."
"Mrs. Clementine come here." My mother called.
The poor old lady frantically ran down the stairs and stood in front of my parents.
"Were you aware of Cadence's where abouts at the mall today?"
"Uh..." Mrs. Clementine didn't know what to say.
"Did you or did you not?" My mother grew impatient.
"Um... well... Yes I knew about it, I take full responsibility." Mrs. Clementine's nervousness definitely showed.
"No... it's my fault she didn't do-"
My mother cut me off. "I don't pay you to let my daughter run off and wander the streets alone. You're fired."
Mrs. Clementine's face turned white. She ran out of the castle with her brief case clutched to her side. Once the door shut I started yelling.
"SERIOUSLY?? She was my favorite teacher ever!!"
"Go to your room. You're grounded." My father pointed to the stairs.
"It's not like I can ever go anywhere anyway." I trudged up the steps and went into my room slamming the door shut.
I went over to my window to close my curtains. The moon captivated the pitch black sky. My eyes wandered down to the garden in front of my window.
I saw Ethan staring up at my window from the smack center of the garden. I closed the curtains quickly and stumbled back. There's no way. I went back over to the window and opened my curtains a crack.
There was no one outside. Just a cold wind racing through the spot where I had seen Ethan. I shook my head and went over to my bed and went to sleep.
The next morning I woke up late. I rubbed my eyes and looked at the clock.
"Shit," I got out of bed and rummaged through my closet for an outfit. I literally had five minutes before my driver takes me to school.
"Cadence! Let's go! Jimmy has to take you to school!" My mother called from downstairs.
"I'm coming!" I quickly put on a pair of sweats, an old t-shirt, a jacket, and my sneakers. I tied my hair back into a messy bun. I didn't even have time to make sure my outfit looked ok in the mirror. And I guess it didn't look that great considering the fact that when I got to school everyone looked at me like I was on crack in the hallways.
