Chapter Eight : Meaning

Sorry this is Hella late. I'm going to get piercings some time this week, my dads being an ass, and I had to create a suicide pact to save one of my best friends from killing themselves... it's been a very eventful week. Btw I will still update this weekend since I forgot (this one) last weekends.

[Eren's POV]

This has to be a joke. No way I got the Levi fucking Ackerman as my tattoo artist. "Your kidding me, Levi! There's no way I didn't- I- how? When?" "I'm not kidding you in the slightest, Brat." Levi replied. "Okay, Okay," I sighed. "As to what I was thinking, I want a key." Levi looked at me curiously. "A key? You sure?" "Yep 1,110% sure that this is what I want and need." He hummed, "And the meaning behind this key? And what kind of key?" "The meaning behind the key, huh?" I looked down at my shirt and pulled the key out from under it. "Ah well, my sister had a key similar to mine... I've always thought that if I had it with me, but- my parents, had a spare for her- they wouldn't give it to me after she was gone though..." I continued to stare at mine. "I see..." He looks at the key and then back to me. "Well, where do you want it and what does the key look like?" I look up and then I walk to the door, "I'll be right back." I ran up the stairs to my room and opened the door. I grabbed my bag and went back to Levi's room. He let me in almost immediately. I shuffled around in my bag for a moment before I took out a book, covered back to front of my own drawings. "Here... I think it's on page..." I look through my brain. "30. Page 30." He flips and looks at the drawing of the key. "Huh..." He study's it and looks back at me. "It's... it's beautiful. Can I look through this?" He asks and I nod. I don't really let anyone look through something as personal as my drawings, but Levi was a fellow artist.

After Levi had finished, he looked at me. "You drew all of this?" I nodded sheepishly. "I have a lot of dreams and nightmares alike... I either draw pictures or write about them so I don't forget." I rubbed the back of my neck and looked down. I don't know why sharing a part of me with others was hard, but it was. I didn't want them to know or think of me as weak. "You didn't answer my other question..." Levi said. I looked up. "Hmm?" "Where do you want it?" I lifted up my shirt, "Right here." I pointed to right beside my heart. Levi sighed. "That's going to hurt like a bitch if you put it right there." "I know, I did my research. That's where I want it."
(I don't actually know this would hurt so like... if you know tell me, I'm literally just assuming)
"Okay." Levi hummed. "I'll take you into the shop tomorrow to map it out." I smiled at him. "Thank you, Levi." "Were you thinking about anything else?" I nodded. "I was in fact." I picked up the sketch book and started to flip through. I ended up on one of my best drawings, a forest with big trees. "This one." I look over to Levi to watch as he study's the picture. "Those are some big ass trees. Where do you want it?" He asks. "My back. So do you think we could get all this done tomorrow?" He looks back at me. "I'm not sure, depending on how your feeling after the first one, and if we get anything done on the other one it would be a few trees, then you'd have to come in for touch ups the day after." (I don't actually know XD this chapter was a little rushed because I'm moving and it's a pain in the ass. We've had problems with selling our house and the new one has a lot of stairs. So Oof.)

"Okay. I can handle that, but right now, I need to sleep. I'm tired." I collapse on Levi's bed. I crawl up to the top of the bed, I don't get there before Levi smacks my ass though. I lay down and Levi joins me. "Thank you, Levi." I say and cuddle into his side.
"No problem, Brat."

I can't believe today is the day. I'm nervous. I mean, I've always wanted a tattoo, but I'm kind of scared what Mikasa and my parents would say. I mean I really didn't care what Grisha and my mom thought. My mom was... different. She looked nothing like me, even with my secret. She didn't have ginger hair, my dad didn't either. It would make no sense. I grew up calling her mom though, although that never did feel quiet right either. I walked into the parlor, Levi had left an hour before me, I presume he wanted to get everything set up before I got there. It made me feel a bit safer to know that he was going to be prepared to give me the tattoo. I sat down and waited patiently. I decided half way through waiting I was going to update my Instagram and Twitter. I took a selfie and looked at the picture, the only off thing I noticed was my hair, you could see the ginger peaking out underneath the brown. "Aw shit." I muttered to myself. "I need to re-dye. I completely forgot that it was almost time for it to wash out." I ruffled my hand through my hair. I can fix it for this one picture. I went into a touch-up app and fixed it. I explained to my Instagram and Twitter followers that I was getting two new tattoos. My first like and comment was by the username of @evil_wheathan
@evil_wheathan commented 'That's so cool! What will they look like?'
I smiled at my screen.
@jaegerbomb replies
'You'll have to wait and see, thank you for the like and comment though 🙂'
I set my phone down. Today was going to be a good day.

"Eren Jaeger, your up."
