My name is Dominic Corre and today is the day that I begin my journey.
For centuries, my family has kept a secret from the world that could either save it, or tear it apart. Over the years since protecting this city, my family became more successful in many different categories such as math, science, and medicine. Doing so has left us quite wealthy and have access to advanced technologies.
But all that wealth didn't mean any more to my family, then their sacred duty.
After my parents died, my grandfather took me and my little brother in and told us the great secret my family has kept.
In the beginning there was nothing but darkness, but then the Big Bang occurred and with it came the universe. And in this cosmic outburst came six singularities that were compacted in six gems. These were the six Infinity Stones.
Time. Space. Power. Soul. Reality. Mind.
With just one of these stones a person can conquer the whole planet. If one had all six then you can practically do anything. However, no one has ever held all of them at the same time.
That is where my family's secret comes in.
For centuries we have safeguarded a device to control the stones power without any drawbacks. And whenever a crisis occurs in the world we take it as a sign that the time has come to use the device and the stones to protect our world from evil. A member of my family is chosen to go out and look for the stones and use them for good.
Easier said than done.

Inside a dimly lit room two people were standing. The only source of light were six torches on both sides of the walls.
The first one was an old man that had grey and white hair, and had a beard. He wore a grey flannel shirt and dark pants.
The one standing next to him was a young man that looked to be in his early to mid twenties. He had short brownish blonde hair, dark blue eyes, wore a blue jacket with golden colored sleeves, dark blue jeans, and tennis shoes.
"Are you sure that it's time Grandfather?" The young man asked.
His grandfather scoffed at him when he asked that. "Did you not see the news Dominic? If that isn't a sign then I don't know what is."
Dominic's grandfather was talking about the invasion in Metropolis that happened a few weeks ago. Apparently Superman was brainwashed to lead an alien army against the Earth and his first target was Metropolis. The military tried to get involved, but they were hopelessly outgunned. Thankfully Superman was able to snap out of it and save everyone.
There are other crazy things happening in the world. The Batman of Gotham, Flash from Central City, and the mysterious 'Hawkgirl' flying around. Though the invasion was the most devastating event to have happened to date.
That still left the question, 'what if it happened again?' That's why Dominic's grandfather believed it was time.
"Okay, follow up question. Are you sure that I'm up for this?" Dominic asked with hint of nervousness in his voice.
"Oh, shape up boy. I understand your nervousness, but it chose you and no other."
Dominic's grandfather walked up to the end of the stoned room and pressed his hand on the wall. He pressed down hard and was able to push a hidden button where his hand was.
The room began to shake and a pedestal came up out of the ground. On that pedestal was a large golden gauntlet that had six slots on it. Five of them were on its knuckles while the sixth was on the middle of the hand.
