Secret Origins Part 2

Things did not look good for our band of heroes. After rescuing an alien named J'onn J'onzz from a government facility they were now being held at gunpoint by more aliens.

'This is what I get for playing the hero.' Killer Frost thought to herself.

"Do you know these guys J'onn?" Titan asked.

"It's them. The ones who are invading your world." J'onn answered.

The invaders fired their weapons, but Killer Frost created an ice wall to protect them. Superman flew up over the wall, but a powerful shot hit him in the chest and sent him crashing into a tank.

"Volcana, light 'em up!" Titan said.

Volcana nodded and lit both her hands on fire. She popped up from the sides of the ice wall and shot powerful flame blasts, taking most of them out.

"Take cover!" Batman told J'onn as he threw an explosive baterang at the invaders.

Another one came up behind them, but J'onn saw it coming. "Behind you!"

J'onn pushed Batman out of the way and protected him from getting shot by taking the hit. In response, Batman threw a baterang at the invader and knocked him down.

"J'onn? Are you-?" Batman asked in concern, but J'onn shook his head.

"He doesn't look too good." Titan said in concern.

Batman nodded as he and Titan placed each of J'onn's arms around their shoulders. A shadow cast over them and they saw Superman protecting from the blasts by using a tank as a shield.

"Get him to safety. We'll cover you." Superman said.

"Just leave these ugly punks to us." Frost said with Volcana nodding with her.

They both nodded and made their way to the batwing. Superman tossed the tank at the invaders and caused an explosion. Those that survived tried to fire at them, but their weapons became frozen when Frost shot at them. With them defenceless, Volcana threw a large fireball at them which took them out.

Batman and Titan continued to carry J'onn, but were soon intercepted by more aliens. Batman was about to engage, but Titan held out his gauntlet and used the Space Stone. A portal appeared beneath the invaders and they fell in.

With their path cleared, they managed to get to the batwing. Luckily for them Batman flipped a switch to bring out a retractable third seat so they could all fit. After making sure J'onn and Titan were secured, Batman took off with Superman, Volcana, who shot herself off like a rocket, and Killer Frost, who slid on a long ice ramp, followed after them.

None of them noticed J'onn's eyes were glowing.

"That was close." Batman said.

"Yeah, this is not how I expected my day to go." Titan said with a sigh.

"We are not safe yet." J'onn warned them. "Look."

Titan and Batman looked to where J'onn was looking and widened their eyes when they saw almost over a dozen fliers heading straight towards them.

"Oh, come on!" Titan complained. "Why don't they ever make it easy?!"

The fliers started shooting at them, but they were able to maneuver out of their way. Superman flew right towards one of them and destroyed it by flying right through it. He tried to take another one down, but it made a u-turn and shot Superman down. Volcana tried to fight back, but these were too fast for her, and she had to watch where she was going. One of them shot at Killer Frost's ramp and caused her to fall and scream.
