At the Watchtower, things were looking pretty quiet. In order to keep tabs on the planet, different members of the League would take shifts on the monitors in case any emergencies would pop up.
The ones who were currently on the Watchtower at the moment were Superman, Green Lantern, Wonder Woman, and Titan. The other members were currently off on other missions.
"You guys did what?" Titan asked in disbelief while sitting on one of the monitors while Superman stood off in the distance looking at a data pad.
"We went to a planet where John was being held on trail for the destruction of a moon." Superman answered. "After discovering that it was all ruse by these machines called the Manhunters we stopped them, and proved John's innocence."
Titan groaned at that information. "Just my luck. I get stuck on another dead end looking for another of the stones, while you guys were off on another planet."
Superman looked away from his work and turned to Titan. "John and Hawkgirl told me about these stones. They're supposed to be the most powerful artifacts in the universe, right?"
"They can be pretty powerful." Titan answered. "When I was young my grandfather told me that the power of the stones have been both awed and feared throughout all of history. My family saw the beauty of what they can achieve while others saw nothing but weapons for war."
"So what do you intend to do once you have all six?" Superman questioned.
"Then I'll use them to bring peace to the universe." Titan said. "Having such immense power means that I will have an immense responsibility, and I intend to make sure that history doesn't remember the stones as artifacts of destruction, but as beacons of hope for the universe."
Superman nodded at that with a smile. "Such noble goals are commendable, but you won't go at it alone. We formed this team so we can do more than what we could do on our own."
Titan nodded at that, but then gained a curious look. "So how have Volcana and Frost been holding up since we formed this team?"
"They've really been pulling their weight." Superman answered. "I have to say, much like Batman, I wasn't so sure how this would workout, but they really seem serious about turning over a new leaf."
Titan smiled behind his mask and nodded his head. "All I did was give them the opportunity, and they took it."
Their conversation was interrupted when Green Lantern flew down and walked up to them. "Superman, Titan, we've got a situation."
"What'd we got?" Titan asked seriously.
"We received a distress signal from a submarine called the USS Defiant. They're taking in a lot of water and they're not sure how long they can last." Green Lantern said. "Wonder Woman is already in the Javelin waiting."
"Alright let's go." Titan said as he got up from his seat. "I call shotgun!"

(Que Rubberband Man by The Spinners)
Once I went to hear them play at a club outside of town.
I was so surprised, I was hypnotized, by the sound this cat put down.
When I saw this short fat guy stretch a band between his toes.
Hey, I laughed so hard 'cause the man got down when he finally reached his goal.Green Lantern inwardly groaned when the song continued to play. In order to make the flight less boring, Titan decided to put on one of his favorite tunes. He installed a speaker system on all of the Javelins so he can listen to music whenever he flew.
