A Love That Waited 7 Years

AN: I am sorry I haven't updated in like a month, I got caught up with school, not necessarily homework, but like activities such as track and field and end of year events. Lucy and Juvia froze. "WHAT!" They both yelled, Lyon quickly covered both their mouths, "Shhhhh, We don't need everyone knowing." He said, "How is the country not in complete chaos?" Lucy asked, "Only select people know," Lyon said "Most guilds know, the entire Magic Council and the Royal Army know, other than that, everyone is clueless, the Royal Family thought it was best that way. There was an increase of guards though." He said as he gestured to a troop of guards walking through the town. Lucy and Juvia hummed in response

"Ah, we're here," Juvia said while looking up at the little small house. Lyon started to blush once again. "I-I don't I can do this anymore." He stuttered. "Nonsense," Lucy said, "Just knock on the door and introduce us," she said as she pushed Lyon to the door. Lyon hesitated but eventually knocked on the door. The door opened to reveal Jellal

"Oh hello, Lyon, what brings you here?" Jellal asked. "Well, I have some new, actually old friends that wanted to visit Meredy," Lyon said. Lucy and Juvia came from behind Lyon and waved. It took Jellal a moment to realize it was Lucy and Juvia. "Oh my, what a surprise. I'm glad to know you two are safe after... that." Jellal said, mumbling the last part. "I'm sure Meredy will be delighted to see you three. Come in and I'll get her." Jellal welcome them in and lead them to the living room, he then went up the stairs to get Meredy, he came back shortly after, "Just give her a minute, she just woke up." Jellal said as he sat down next to Lyon.

Jellal whispered something into Lyon's ear and he nodded. "So you know about Princess Hisui correct?" he asked. Juvia and Lucy both nodded. "Well, have you seen suspicious while you were away? Crime Sorcière is helping with the investigation and we are completely stuck, no leads, no clues, nothing." Jellal asked. Lucy raised an eyebrow, "Crime Sorcière isn't an official guild right, how did you guys get involved? if you don't mind me asking." She asked, "King Toma and the Magic Council noticed how many cases we've solved. Also, King Toma found Princess Hisui's diary and read it. It said that Princess Hisui wanted to atone for our crimes once she became queen." Jellal explained.

Then Meredy came down from the stairs. "So Jellal, who's here?" Meredy said. Once she made eye contact with Juvia, her jaw dropped. "J-Juvia? I-is that you?" she stuttered. Juvia smiled, "Long time no see!" She said before being engulfed in a hug. "You have no idea how much I missed you." Meredy said, "I know, Lyon told us what you did. " Juvia replied back winking. Lyon and Jellal started to giggle but Meredy ignored them. She then went over to Lucy and hugged her too. "It's great to see you, Lucy," Meredy said. She turned her head to Lyon. "You too Lyon!" She said cheerfully. Lyon smiled back, trying to hide his blush.

Meredy took a little stool from underneath the coffee table and sat facing the 4. "So tell me. where have you two been all these years?" Meredy asked. Juvia and Lucy started to explain not only informing Meredy but also Jellal (Since Lyon already asked before) "Wow Elemental Magic! Hmm, isn't that the one you told me about Jellal?" Meredy asked looking at Jellal. He nodded, "I heard it is a very powerful magic, possibly equal to Dragon Slayer Magic." He said. "While it's not strong enough to kill a dragon," Lucy explained, "It was strong enough to beat a dragon slayer, even a devil slayer." "Oh?" Jellal raised an eyebrow. "When we came back to Fairy Tail a few days ago, we both fought with Natsu and Gray," Juvia said, "Did you two whoop their butts?" Meredy asked while smirking. "But of course," Juvia said. Lyon started to laugh, "And they said you were weak. They got what they deserved." he said. He took a peek at Meredy but immediately turned away to hide his blush because they made eye contact.

Lucy noticed Lyon trying to hide his blush when she got an idea. "Hey Lyon," Lucy said as Lyon turned his head to Lucy, "Didn't you want to tell Meredy something?" She said while giving him a look. Lyon gave her a Don't-you-dare look. "Oh yeah, I think you should do that privately," Juvia added. Lyon glared but gave in. He got up and walked to a very confused Meredy. "C-could we t-talk outside for a bit?" He asked. "U-uh s-sure," Meredy said following Lyon outside towards a nearby tree.

Jellal watched as they walked out. Once they were a good distance away, he turns to face Juvia and Lucy with his inner fanboy coming out. "Is he going to do it?" He asked excitedly. "Tell Meredy his feelings yea!" Juvia replied back, equally excited. "Finally! Meredy has been telling me about her crush on him for the past 7 years!" Jellal said, "So he wasn't the only one hiding his feelings." Lucy said

*With Lyon and Meredy*

"So what did you want to tell me, Lyon?" Meredy asked. Lyon sighed and looked her straight in the eyes, "Look Meredy, for the longest time I've always thought you were a smart, kind and strong person. Not only that, I have to say that you were the most beautiful girl I've ever seen." He said, smiling a bit at the end. Meredy looked at him with wide eyes, "W-what are you saying?" She asked nervously, "I'm saying that I like you Meredy, a lot," Lyon said while stepping closer to Meredy. Meredy stared at the ground for a second then up at Lyon. "Why didn't you tell me sooner?" She asked. "Well, you locked yourself in your house for 7 years," Lyon replied back. Meredy suddenly looked guilty, "You've kept your feelings for 7 years?!" She whispered while looking down. Lyon then grabbed her shoulders, she looked up, "Yes i have. I also thought you didn't like me back." Lyon said. Meredy then cupped Lyon's face, "Lyon, I've felt the same about you. I've wanted to tell you but, I was too scared." She said. "Really?!" Lyon asked. Meredy nodded while smiling, Lyon smiled back.

Meredy then pulled Lyon into a kiss wrapping her arms around his neck, he was shocked at first but put his arms around her waist and kissed back. They both pulled away and started to blush. "I want to ask you something but I feel like it's too early," Lyon said. "We've known each other long enough, just ask it." Meredy giggled. "Okay then." Lyon said while grabbing her hand, "Meredy, will you be my girlfriend?" he asked. "I'd love to," Meredy said, then hugged Lyon who hugged her back. Pulling away a bit, Lyon took his hand to lift Meredy's face so he could kiss her. "Thank you, Lyon." Meredy whispered, "For kissing you?" Lyon grinned. Meredy laughs a little, "That too, but thank you, for making me the happiest I've been my whole life."

AN: MY SHIPPPPPPPPPPP. A small question, what other ships would you like me to put in the story? I already did Lyredy and this story will slowly show Gruvia and Nalu.
