NATALIE AND ISAAC were both dreading the idea of starting at a new school. it was their first time moving to a different state since their fathers passing. their mother wanted a new start, since she think she's fully recovered from her husbands passing. in her children's eyes, she hasn't changed since he passed. the drastic change has not only affected their mother, but the way her children see her too.
despite her mother's changes, natalie hasn't changed at all during her fathers passing. she simply decided to not drag all the depression on her shoulders. she knew it'd affect her in too many ways.
for her brother, it doesn't seem like he's gave a single shit about his tragic death. their father hasn't really been the " man " of the house since issac and natalie were in their early teens. he relied upon issac for everything. including all outside duties and even some cooking. isaac was the most loose kid until seventh grade. but when he turned thirteen, he took upon some responsibility. which many would think would be for the better, but he thought of it as ruining his childhood and high school experience. with his dads passing, he thought his dad left all his stress on his sons shoulders. he didn't like that.
now here they remaining family members are. new neighborhood, new house, new everything. karen, the twins mother, decided to get rid of all her husbands things. she didn't want to be surrounded by them for their new start. she even got a 12 hour job just to stay busy and not be reminded. their new house was very big compared to their last. in isaac's eyes, it was perfect party size.
natalie didn't like it. she just wanted to be home. back in vermont. where her friends were. she thought this new start was going to be hell. who knows how awful these kids could be? how obnoxious the boys can be? how petty the girls can be? natalie was an old soul. she liked old music, old movies, even old people. she wouldn't hesitate to pick elders over kids her age. they were freaks to her.not really a prolouge but close enough to one. im not sure how this book is going to go yet but it's already getting a hell of a lot support. thanks for that.
