I smiled as I saw that my aunt had fallen asleep and would be out for awhile. I grabbed my small bag of stuff and left. Since it was around noon, most of the villains were out and about getting lunch and such, well, except for the villain kids that actually went to school. I hadn't been to the school since I was young, but I had always wanted a chance to go. Sure, not every kid loves going to school, but it is something that interests me. The lessons are taught by past villains like Lady Tremaine and Mother Gothel. I don't know how the villain kids wouldn't want to compete in things like the most evil act competition at the end of the year. Though I'm not really evil, I would trade working for my aunt for going to school any day.
I grabbed an apple out of my bag and walked down the gray streets of the Isle. People scowled and stared as I walked down into the market. I absent-mindly walked far into the darkness of the multiple apartments where some of the darker villains lived like Dr. Facilier who play in the shadows. My focus was broken by being pushed against a wall.
"What are you doing here beauty?" I looked up to see Hadie, the son of Hades. His blue hair glowed in the dimness of the atmosphere.
"Taking a walk." I scowled and threw the apple in his face, distracting him and ducking under his arm to escape.
"C'mon babes, you know that a girl like you can't survive in this area, how 'bout I take you somewhere nice?" He smirked and threw the apple back at me.
" Knowing you, your kind of nice is the pits of Hell, so I'll pass." I chuckled and smirked at him.
"You know I'd love to do that babes, but I can't use my powers, so you'd just have to settle with something here on the Isle." He smiled and put arm over my shoulders, by now we had stirred up a commotion.
"Sorry Hade, I'm not another Stockholm syndrome nut job like Persephone." I pushed the apple back into his hands and walked away swiftly as a series of ohs and burns from everyone who wasn't confused from mythical reference. (I can't help myself after Hadestown!)
I rushed into the restaurant as soon as I got there to meet Ursula angrily awaiting at the door. Stupid Hadie just had to talk to me and stupid me had to pick a fight.
"Snuck out again?" She grabbed me by my hair and dragged me into the back.
"I didn't really sneak out, I just kinda walked out of the front door." I smiled at her, I was still cocky from showing up the prince of Hell itself.
"Well, since you like to walk through doorways, why don't you walk into the pantry?" I did as I was told and sat cross-legged as she locked the doors on the pantry.
For days I was locked in and making a plan to run away in the pantry. I smiled when the lock began to be unlocked I saw Uma staring down at me. I played along with the charade until Ursula had fallen asleep once again. I ran quickly out of the restaurant, but I did not plan for Uma and her gang to be outside of the restaurant.
(I need someone to slap me when I want to post a lot because I want to make sure I have chapters to post.)
