Chapter 28

We pulled into my parents driveway an hour later and Liam came in with me. My mo came through the door and I dropped my suitcase and hugged her and cried slightly.

"Mommy" I cried.

"Sweetie it's okay, the first broken heart is always the hardest" she said to me while rubbing my back. Yes, it was my first broken heart, ever. Being at a school for dance there was little boys and they were almost all gay.

I walked into the house with my mom and Liam. Liam sat on the couch and laid down. "Are you staying?" I asked him.

"Yea, I have to leave by eleven though I have to be at the studio for one" he said sitting up.

I nodded and headed upstairs to put my stuff in my room. Yes, I still had a room at my parents house, Liam did too. It was for like when we came for the holidays and stuff like that. It was the same as I left it. Raspberry walls and a colorful comforter. I put my bag near the bed and walked back down.

"How is she?" my mom asked.

"I haven't seen her like this since grandma died" he answered.

"The poor thing" my mom said to him and I saw him nodded in agreement. I came in and sat next to my mom. I out my head on her lap and she rubbed the back of it with one hand. "Wanna talk about it?" she asked. I nodded slightly and started to tell her.

I told her from the cheating, to coming home, to the airport, to telling him I hated him, to sobbing, to going to dinner, and to coming here. I could tell my mom anything ANYTHING, the same with Liam. We were all so close we all told each other everything.

"Where's dad?" Liam asked.

"Asleep, where do you think he is?" he asked in a know-it-all tone.

"I haven't been home in four monthes and he's asleep. Wow" he said.

"He works too Liam" she aid patting his knee "you'll see him in the morning" she added.

"I better" he said and walked up the stairs "Goodnight! Love you!" he shouted.

"Love you too" we said in unison.

"I'm sorry baby" she said smiling lightly at me.

"I don't know what to do," I said starting to cry again "I dont hate him" I added

"I know sweetie, just give him some time. You both need time" she said

"I don't know if I can live without him that long" I cried

"Oh honey, it's okay everything happens for a reason" she cooed in my ear and hugged me. "I think you need to sleep" she said and I nodded.

"Goodnight, I love you" I said kissing her cheek.

"I love you too, now try to sleep" she said and I headed upstairs.

I jumped into bed and went under the covers. I plugged in my earbuds to my phone and put them in. I started to cry and I couldn't stop. I cried myself to sleep that night.

"Sweeite, time to get up" my mom called into my room. I rolled over and groaned. I had a throbbing headache and I just wanted to sleep all day. I knew my mom wouldn't let me so I got up. I walked downstairs amd saw Liam watching tv on the couch.

"Hey how ya feeling?" he asked looking up.

"Like shit" I told him and walked over to the medicine cabinet to get some Advil.

"It's okay, everyone goes through this" he told me.

I swallowed the pills and grabbed a box of lucky charms. I walked over and sat on the couch. I dug my hand in and shoved it in my mouth. Liam then did the same. We sat there eating for a couple minutes.

"You two act like you're eight" my dad laughed

"DAD!" I shouted. He hugged me and then let go.

"You okay?" he asked concerned, he was always worried for me.

"Nope" I said with a sigh.

"It'll get better" he said amd smiled at me. I really hope so. "I'll see you late Avalon, bye Liam! I'll see you soon!" he said kissing his sons head.

"Bye dad, love you" Liam said and smiled at him.

"Love you too" he said and went off to work.

"Can I just die now?" I asked Liam as I plopped down on the couch.

"Um no? I need to have you around when I have kids" he laughed.

"You could live without me" I offered

"No I can't, you know that. Remember how hard XFactor was?" he said looking at me.

"I know, I cried myself to sleep for a week when you left! God did I miss you" I said remembering that time.

"I missed you too, see we need each other" he told me.

"I know, I'll hold out on the death part.." I sighed.

"Good!" he said smiling "Oh jeez I gotta go, see you in a week Ava" he said kissing my forehead.

"Love you Li" I called out

"Love you too Ava" he said and walked out.

I curled up in a ball on the couch and sat there.

"Mommyyyy!!!'" I called out.

"What sweetie?" she asked from the other room.

"Can we go out for breakfast! I need some food!" I smiled at her.

"Sure thing! But get changed you look gross" she said.

She was right, of course.

"Okay! Wait? Where's my phone? I NEED MY PHONE!" I shouted.

"Upstairs you airhead!" she laughed.

"Oh.. THANKS!"
