(Y/N) POV

Some people say that dreams stay dreams until you force them to become reality. That also works by saying that you can't judge a fish from it's ability to climb a tree. There is always more than one way to achieve a dream. Multiple different equations can lead to the same solution. Just like different paths in life can get you a something another path can. Some people become Hunters or Huntress to protect others. Other people because of fame and glory.

Personally, I am going through life to become a Hunter to protect others from the Grimm and now the White Fang. It seems only yesterday when the White Fang turned dark tainting its former glory and completely draining all members of any self-respect. All they do now is hurt and steal from others. They only get what they want from all of it. Respect from fear.

There are still high amounts of criminal activity going on without them but the real threat to humanity is the unjust people seeking power out of greed or vengeance. Although everyone knows that they exist no one has ever been able to see anyone that does threaten humanity majorly. That only leaves Grimm.

The Grimm are remorseless animals waiting to kill anything that moves. They take no mercy form anyone or anything. They only bow down for one thing. Death. A common enemy to all living things. They live a life of complete discord. Rules of survival apply to them from the moment they are created into the world. They either kill anything or die themselves.

Right now I was on the Bullhead going to Beacon. A highly recognized, prestigious academy renown for training Hunters and Huntress. A true academy for people to learn how to save and protect themselves and others. Though I am slightly skeptical about how the blonde man-child managed to come here. If her can't handle a Bullhead I doubt he can handle a weapon efficiently.

However some caught my eyes in a positive way. A blonde lady. Looks can be deceiving as others say. I would say that they are right. She looks great but I can accurately assume that her fighting style is effective and powerful. Little red riding hood beside her. Small and fast I can assume. Weapon looks ranged but she looks smart enough to wield a weapon besides range otherwise it would put her at a disadvantage. She does look a little young though.

Another which can be none other than Pyrrha Nikos. World renown tournament champion and the one that broke several records. I can say that she is efficient with her fighting style yet almost no one knows what her semblance is. A true mystery. She either sees her semblance as too powerful and refuses to use it unless she is going to lose or she's underestimating everyone. I did hear she was a fair person so I doubt the latter is viable for assuming it.

Two more people. Both sitting at the side of the Bullhead not willing to attract attention to themselves. They both seem strict and professional yet distant. It could make them more dangerous to anyone if they were in a team together. They might be able to go together like two peas in a pod. Both focused so they may think along the same lines. If that is the case then they would be a truly dangerous pair even to Pyrrha.

I couldn't exactly judge them right now considering I was trying to distance myself for now as well. Suddenly a holographic projection of what could only be the representative or a possible teacher in the academy appeared.

"Hello and welcome to Beacon. My name is Glynda Goodwitch. You are among a privileged few who have received the honor of being selected to attend this prestigious academy. Our world is experiencing an incredible time of peace, and as future Huntsman and Huntresses, it is your duty to uphold it. You have demonstrated the courage needed for such a task, and now it is our turn to provide you with the knowledge and the training to protect our world."

She seems to have forgotten the fact that these years may be some of the hardest we may face in our lives. This place may be dangerous until we get used to it but I don't think Blonde over there is gonna make it at least a week. Even right now he's head over heels in a bin vomiting right into it. Which seemed to be followed by Little Red and the other Blonde causing a small commotion.

As the good kind person I am I decide to walk over to them whilst preparing a small napkin. "Excuse me but could you stop moving?" Just like that the blonde stopped as I bent down and wiped off the vomit from her shoe. "Please don't make such a commotion over nothing. It greatly disturbs the calm atmosphere here." As I started to walk away I heard a rather concealed "Thank you." from the blonde.

As we finally arrived at Beacon I waited for everyone else to get off the Bullhead until I started to leave. I was hoping not much attention would come my way on the first day but it seems like the world has other plans for me as I heard an explosion nearby. It seemed that Little Red has annoyed a very strict Heiress. As such I decided to walk over to try resolve the issue calmly.

"Excuse me but what is the problem here?" "This dolt here nearly blew off the side off the cliff." "Miss Schnee I assure you that she meant no harm from it. I could also say that she looks rather young and introverted so interaction with others she may not know may cause any misunderstanding." "I suppose I see what you're saying." "May I ask what you're doing at Beacon instead of Studying at Atlas?" "To prove my father wrong and to get away from my family."

I was quite surprised from Weiss Schnee herself giving an honest and genuine answer to my question. The answer seems rather personal as well. "Well Miss Schnee I shall not pry anymore. farewell." I managed to lessen the situation yet the problem was still visible yet I am no longer capable of helping anymore than I already have. With that I started to walk away from the scene only to hear more shouting coming from it.

Distracted by the noise behind me I accidentally fell onto another student. "Sorry about that. I was distracted from the commotion behind me." When I stood up and opened my eyes I recognized her to be one of the readers on the Bullhead. "May I help you up?" Asking with a smile while extending my hand from her.

"Thank you. My name is Alice. It's a pleasure to meet you however not in these conditions. Would you care to join me to the Auditorium?" "It would be my pleasure." The now known Alice seemed kind. She seems like she wants to meet new people yet won't take the initiative. During our walk to the Auditorium it was a peaceful and comfortable silence that we seemed to both enjoy.

Once arrived we stayed together to listen to the Headmaster himself deliver a speech to the new students. I wasn't looking forward to what he was going to say personally. He looks among us like we're imperfect or need to be refined into something better. Something more.

"I will, keep this brief. You have traveled here today in search of knowledge. To hone your craft and acquire new skills, and when you have finished you plan to dedicate your life to the protection of the people, but I look amongst you and all I see is wasted energy in need of purpose, direction. You assume knowledge will free you of this but your time at this school will prove that knowledge can only carry you so far. It is up to you to take the  first step."

"You will gather in the ballroom tonight, tomorrow your initiation begins. Be ready. You are dismissed." It seemed like the headmaster himself didn't want to be there at that point in time. As if he knew he was gonna be disappointed if he were to actually do the speech. However he gave us some well needed advice. Knowledge can only take us so far. That's why we need a team.

~Timeskip~

Now night inside the Ballroom a lot of guys were trying to flex their muscles and show off to all the females yet only few seemed to swoon for them. I thought it was a completely pointless effort to even try. Moments passed when I saw Alice heading my way with all her stuff and she asked me if it were okay to sleep next to me.

I could really use some company of someone who I now know so I said yes to her. As she was setting down all of her stuff she quickly got comfortable and started to read. I never really understood the appeal of reading because you only read words on a page with no possible interaction with real people at all.

It started getting even later and soon yelling could be heard by a dim, flickering candle light. At least initiation is tomorrow so the yelling maybe of something useful. However for initiation I need to be focused and full of energy so whilst blocking out all the noise from the people I decided to get some sleep until the next day. The day which would test everyone.
