Alice POV

Morning arose for the day to begin yet everyone refused to move from their sleeping state yet I saw the boy next to me slightly stirring in his sleep. What's the matter with him? Is he waking up? How have I not asked what his name is yet? I have slept next to him and stayed near him yet I kept forgetting to ask his name. I guess i'll ask when he's completely awake.

With that I continued on with my casual morning routine. Wash my body, dry my hair, straighten my hair, refine and polish my blades, fix the positioning of my holsters for my daggers and get dressed. However even with all the time consumed from my preparation for today he has still not awoke.

Moments of silence continue to pass until I hear an energetic ginger haired female shout 'Good Morning' into a poor boys ear constantly. I was contemplating whether or not to ask them to stop shouting at this time but I heard a faint groan coming from beside me only to find it was (Y/N) starting to wake.

In a sudden instant he jolted up and screamed at them "WOULD YOU SHUT UP!?" I was frankly in shock at his sudden outburst. I wasn't completely surprised though given the current time of day and yesterday his attitude seemed rather forced. He seemed to be less frustrated and stressed now than before.

I decided to ignore it for now but I will ask him about it later. "Are you coming to initiation?" He seemed lost as he heard my voice. It was like he was completely unaware that I was here."Y-yeah, sure. We gotta get our weapons first though." "To think you're this unprepared. Let's go." I never expected someone to be so unprepared on the day where we truly get accepted to this academy.

As we were walking towards the cliff where initiation is supposed to start we noticed that only the headmaster was there waiting for everyone else to arrive. Holding his coffee firmly he spoke directing the conversation to us. "I see someone is early here and one was dragged along." I couldn't understand how he knew we were there without looking behind him.

"I would rather not be late for this Sir." "I was forced out of my bed." So was the immature response from (Y/N). "Well, you may want to find your partners as fast as you can. I suggest you find each other." "What do you mean?" I was curious as to what he meant by find our partners. "You will know soon enough."

What does he mean? Why can't he just tell us now? At least I don't have to worry about finding a partner. I can assume that he's already assigned us with a whole team. Otherwise the only people I could wish to be in a team with is (Y/N) here, Nikos or Schnee. The rest seem ill mannered and annoying with little common sense.

~Timeskip~ (Y/N) POV

"For years you have trained to become warriors and today your abilities will be evaluated in the Emerald Forest." Great another speech. "Now I am sure many of you have heard rumors about the assignment of teams." Great, Goodwitch wants to join the speech. "Well, allow us to put an end to your confusion. Each of you will be given teammates. Today." "What? huuhn." Little red you need to speak in your head not out loud and stop complaining.

"These teammates will be with you for the rest of your time here at Beacon, so it is in your best interest to be paired with someone whom you can work well." Please just end me now. Red needs to stop complaining. Right now. "That being said, the first person you make eye contact with, after landing, will be your partner for the next four years." "WHAT!?" That's rather unexpected coming from someone who seems to know what their doing. Can't say I'm not interested though. This may be fun.

"After you've partnered up, make your way to the northern end of the forest. You will meet opposition along the way. Do not hesitate to destroy everything in your path, or you will die." Nice motivation. I can see why people love you as a headmaster. You don't seem to care much. I don't think anyone would care about Vomit Boy dying though. "you will be monitored and graded-" And he just keeps on talking. "For the duration of your initiation, but our instructors will not intervene. You will find an abandoned temple at the end of the path containing several relics. Each pair must choose one and return to the top of the cliff."
