Chronos' Apprentice: Love

Chapter II: New Time Zone

      I arrive on the planet to heavy showers of rain. I haven't felt rain before, and it feels strange. The drizzles of water that land on me are very cold. I can't help to just stand and take it in. I take in the dark night and flashing lights of the city with no signs of rest. "Ah so this is where they call New York City." I mention to myself. I look to see the many people walking with umbrellas in the busy streets trying to make it to their destination. Makes me think to where I should start? Master Chronos has just brought me to Earth with the last of his power. As much as I adore Master Chronos his mission for me is so half-assed. He gave me such vague instructions on what to do.

      Master Chronos just laughed once more after I told him I'll take the mission. "Very well child, I will give you this mission." Master Chronos said leaning back in his chair. "Such a big task Young Jacobis, and you don't fret at all. However, that is what we might just need to save us." Master Chronos said while putting both of his hands together. Suddenly, an alarming pressure flown from Master's hands. The pressure shook the entire room and made most students complete fall to the ground. I even couldn't keep my composer as I fell to my knees in awe. His hands then proceeded to light up with a radiant white light. The aura coming from his hands were unbelievable. You could see parts of the room start to get distorted with time manipulation. With a final force of pressure, everything in the room came to a stop. I looked up to Master Chronos who slowly separated his hands. In his right hand he held a bunch of gear and supplies and his other hand he held a portal. He sat up again leaning down to me putting his hands in front of me. "Here is what you will need for your mission." Master said moving his right hand forward to me.

     "BEEEEEP!" a loud noise snaps me out my thought. I look to my right to see that a vehicle is blaring a horn at me. The person eventually rolls her window down leaning out of it. "Move it ya faggot or I'll run ya over!" the female in the vehicle yells at me. First off, who does she think she is? Second, I am standing on the so called sidewalk am I not? The light said "Walk" so I did a few paces before I stop again because I was thinking. I look back to the sign which now says "Don't Walk" now. I swear that sign just said I could walk a few seconds ago! "Ya wanna die! I'll seriously do it!" the female yells again threatening me. I sigh ignoring her empty and useless words as I keep walking on the sidewalk. "Foreigners I swear!" she yells before driving off. I simply shake my head as I keep walking down the street. I see shops and restaurants open with many people in them. The aroma of the food actually smells quite good even though the title of the food place is weird. "McDonalds?" I say confused thinking I pronounced it right. Is that the type of food they serve because I have never heard of a plant or mammal called a McDonald's. I even know all of Earth's scientific names for things and that doesn't match my knowledge. I'm tempted to walk inside to see what they provide but I keep walking down the sidewalk. Trying to find out what destroys the world in a week is going to be difficult.  I have no clues except that I remember the dark light on the hologram originated from the state either California or Nevada. Which by the way is cross country from where I am. It will take me days to get there since I don't have any source of income to pay my way through things. I could use my skills to somehow get there but that starts another problem. I don't know powerful these force is so I'll need all the aura I can get store. I will have to be creative in how I balance both getting their and storing power. I put my hand on my chest feeling the suit under my clothes feel warm. Even if I got this suit I shouldn't put all my hopes in it.

      I got back up to my feet, and went over to his right hand. "First is a new uniform that says you have been promoted from student from personal assistant. This material is made of a special aura regeneration material that will help recover your aura over time faster than what your body is capable of." Master said. I slowly took the clothing which is a very stretchy and flexible. The main color of it is silver and it had flowing white lines from the sleeve that leads to the chest. The chest part of the shirt has a big triangle that is glowing white. From the triangle I could feel aura coming from it so I'm guessing that is my battery source. It looked skin tight which I don't like, but I will accept it anyway. "As you guessed, that chest piece is the power source of the clothing. If that gets critically damage then you can't use the clothing for regeneration. You would have to rely on your own endurance and recovery skills." Master explained.
