Music played in the background, his little nymph was running and teasing until he caught her. He kissed those sweet lips and began to pepper kisses down that pale inviting neck. The music stopped and replaced by an irritating ringing.
He opened one eye and groaned as he reached over and shut the alarm clock off and turned over to continue his erotic dream.
"Wake up sleepyhead, you need to shower and dress. I'm not going to be late on my first day back at work."
"I was having such a nice dream. If you come over here, my dream could become real?"
"DCI Hardy, we promised Ellie we would be professional at work. That includes being on time. Now get your arse up and in the shower, while I make breakfast."
He rolled out of bed and started to the loo. "Take a woman to your bed and she immediately starts nagging you."
"I heard that."
He hurriedly showered, dressed and made the bed. One of the last things his mother said to him before she died, an unmade bed was a sign of an unmade mind.
Jenny had breakfast on the table when he walked in. A soft smile tugged at his mouth, "Good Morning, can I help you with anything?" he said as he kept his morning kiss on her cheek. He pushed down the desire for more – a lot more actually.
"Good morning, Sexy. No, everything is on the table. I can't wait to get back to work, I missed it."
He held her chair for her and went to his own. "I know you have and everyone missed you. This looks brilliant, you are spoiling me." He savored every bite of the omelet that she had fixed and then downing both the coffee and juice, sat back and watched her down her juice. "Remember," he finally said, " we agreed. As soon as we walk out the door, I'm Hardy or Sir and you are Lord until we walk back in at night."
"I remember Sir, "she said with a chuckle. "Now, help me do the washing up before we leave."

He loved the look and feel of the newly constructed front lobby, Hardy was surprised to see PC Kirk on the desk. "Lord, go on up, I'll catch up."
"Good Morning Kirk, where is Sergeant Morgan?"
"Good Morning Sir, here is your mail and messages. Sergeant Morgan was called out to assist Dyer and Stall with a citizen in distress."
Alec frowned, Morgan never left the desk, this must be serious. "Where is the call-out and do we have any particulars on the distressed citizen?"
"I have no information on the citizen but the original call-out is the Happy Homemaker Cafe on West Cliff Road."
"Thank you, Kirk."
Instead of going upstairs, he went to the communication center. "Bondy, the call-out to the cafe, what do we know of the citizen in distress?"
"The owner called in said a customer came in ordered and when he was served, went crazy tearing the place up. That was thirty minutes ago. Stall radioed in fifteen minutes ago requesting assistance from Sergeant Morgan. That is all I know Sir."
"Alright Bondy, inform Morgan to see me when he returns to the station."
Hardy was halfway up the stairs when Bondy called from the bottom of the steps. "Sir, Sergeant Morgan just radioed in a 10-48, requesting you and DI Miller's presence at the cafe."
"Bloody Hell, have another panda car sent to that location. Radio the Sergeant and tell him, we're on our way."
He ran the rest of the way to the squad room, yelling!. "Lord, you're with me, Martin, you're with Miller. We have a 10-48, citizen death, officer-involved situation at the Happy Homemaker Cafe. White, you're in charge here, let's move people."
