"You doing alright?" I snapped up from my brooding to look at Jace on the other side of the table. He opened up his packed lunch where he had stored slices of pepperoni pizza before offering me one. I took it before nodding.

"Yeah I guess I'm ok."

"Somethings on your mind, you're not brooding about Jack's kiss with the girl. It was only a kiss on the cheek, plus he's not actually going to ask the girl out. He told Robin that she sees him as nothing but a friend." He said, wiping his mouth with a napkin before staring deeply into my eyes.

"Don't just assume things like that! For all you know I could be dwelling on the huge environmental issues. Did you know every minute 2 football pitches of rainforest is being cut down?" I defended before taking a huge bite out of the pizza slice. "You need to add more cheese on to the pizza next time."

"We both know that you're still sour about the fact that you're loveless and unkissed. Why are you so obsessed with it anyways? The likelihood of you still being together with the person you dated in highschool is extremely unlikely." I sighed before grabbing my chocolate muffin and standing up.

"Because I'm fucking tired of being asked the same question from my family over and over again. 'So,
William, have you finally found a girlfriend?' 'Oh you haven't? You're a little later than your brother and sister, don't worry. Some people mature faster than others.'" I mimicked my family's voices, leaving the cafeteria with long strides. "They already nag me for my shit results, reminding me over and over that I won't get a good job when I'm grown up if I continue like this."  Jace was  close on my heels.

"You're a different person than your sister and brother! What's the point of kissing someone just to have a picture of it? And your grades are fine. "

I spun around to face him, staring at him in disbelief.  How could someone be so thick?

"So I can finally shove it in their faces, dumbass! Geez you wouldn't get it. Just go to your robotics club, I'll come to your house after school.

And with that I left him standing, returning to my form room to sulk a little more.

A group of boys were there, being obnoxiously loud. I threw them a toxic glare before putting on my headphones and listening to some heavy metal.

Heavy metal was invented to vent out your rage and anger and it was absolutely perfect to listen to when you were in a mood. Sure, your hearing would worsen but it was totally worth it.

Jason just didn't understand my desperate need for this.
